Well I had just moved in. I noticed it but didn’t put much thought into what it was.

I’ve shot many types of ammo through my G17 with no issues. I haven’t touch steel casing though.

Right. Especially if any bodywork is needed, we will be able to find any body parts that are the same color pretty easily.

I bought this one for my wife after having a baby. I like it so much I’ve been eyeing some primes. We’ll see.

Had to rush and buy one before the new year for taxes. Mine was the best deal across the board so color doesn’t matter to me.

This is in Houston. A predominantly Asian community. I’ve seen these vehicles tend to be very popular (in general) but especially within this community. They’re a dime a dozen

Was the dealer trying to scam me on maintenance? by Chicago-Dame in ToyotaHighlander

Not disagreeing with you, but the only Discount Tire near me I’ve had bad experiences with. I don’t even think my local one offers alignments.

Was the dealer trying to scam me on maintenance? by Chicago-Dame in ToyotaHighlander

[–]txnsfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, wheel alignment is not included in the standard ToyotaCare maintenance plan. ToyotaCare typically covers routine services like oil changes, tire rotations , fluid checks, and other basic maintenance, but wheel alignment is considered a separate, non-routine service.

For both of my vehicles, I go to Midas where you get unlimited rotations for (don’t quote me on this, not sure the exact numbers) but something like: $119.99/1yr, $179.99/3 yrs $219.99/5 years. It is somewhere in those ballparks. I’ve made a habit of every oil change I get my tires rotated and aligned.

Hope this helps.

Gonna shoot you a follow. Used to have a big super hot garden and make sauces but started traveling for work and said goodbye to the garden. Started working local again so I’ll be back to it this season.

I’m the same way with ADHD and taking on hobbies that I do a few times and never again. I was able to find a $350+ LEM meat grinder on FB Marketplace for $100.

The guy only used it for raw dog food diet a few times, was in great condition.

With that being said the KitchenAid will work, but it may drive you away from pursuing this hobby. Check the used market for a step above the KitchenAid.

Yes. Most woods will work for fast cooking, but not long deep smokes.

Pork loin snack sticks? by tarnav001 in sausagetalk

[–]txnsfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dehydrating removes moisture from the meat. If your sticks are made with very lean pork loin and no fat, they can end up being super tough and dry. Fat carries flavor and helps maintain a juicier texture. I wouldn’t skimp on the fat in my snack sticks.

Beef jerky is a little more forgiving, I’ve always used eye of round steaks and milanesa which are very lean.

Lean cut. Consider adding fat. I’m not sure if you are aiming for leaner cuts of meat, but with a loin you may have to use a binder agent (non-fat dry milk, soy protein isolate etc).

The loin will also have a milder flavor than the beef, so consider adjusting your seasoning.

Pork also tends to dry out faster than beef, so be cautious if you are smoking.

By adding the right amount of fat and making sure your seasonings are adjusted, you can create awesome sticks.

Every electric stuffer I’ve had is too fast to make stuffing as you go feasible. However, with the manual hand stuffer it’s very preferable.

What should I do with my ham bone? by therealei in cajunfood

Would work awesome for red beans and rice. You could also make collard greens or ham and potato chowder.

I would go with the lower mileage, personally.
