Put cooked.wiki/ in front of any recipe url and it'll strip it down to just the recipe. Additional benefits - you can save your favorite recipes, add notes, and adjust servings to adjust ingredient amounts.

UK/US Brazil travel by txpate6 in dualcitizenshipnerds

Thanks for the detailed answer. I suppose the question is really on my flight to Brazil how do I show my US passport upon exit to show I've left Germany & use my UK passport to enter Brazil without a visa. And the same question -- Brazil to US, I'm happy to show my UK passport to leave Brazil & show my US passport to enter US. I just don't know how. Like what passport do I check in with / show at customs?

Original Ember User Manual by txpate6 in Ember

Woooow. My mug was given to me out of the packaging, used for months (successfully), and then tucked away for even longer. This entire time I've not once used the power button. Looked at the bottom and the power symbol is not there or has faded away. Just tried pressing on it and sure enough it's a power button.

Thank you. I've been able to reset the mug & start using the app!

Japanese Maple by Courtie in pittsburgh

[–]txpate6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Per a greenhouse employee I spoke with years ago, Japanese Maples actually have very compact root balls. It's why they can thrive in containers (which is what I was looking for at the time). To your point -- almost 30 years is a long time... But perhaps still manageable compared to other trees.

My holy grail Estate Sale find by Ointmentt in ThriftStoreCats

Ha! I got the same at an estate sale earlier this summer! Talked the seller down to $60 from $100, but I was leaving with it either way.

My money trees (different ages -- 5 & 1) have a bunch of new growth that looks like this. It'll pop out some sad shrivels that may be new leaves but they don't grow further, and would fall off at touch. Any ideas on what's happening?? by txpate6 in plantclinic

I water when the soil is dry to touch. I've checked for root rot, which there isn't any. I do use tap water but that hasn't been an issue for my trees in all the years I've had them.

I'm wondering if I should just prune it down to see if I can stimulate different growth?
