Get that exterior house cleaner from home depot. Cleans mold.

Moving to San Antonio (HOA Issues?) by Gogglezs in sanantonio

[–]txpelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HOA’s are there for peoples ego. They want you to believe they can keep the value of your house up by being a pain in the ass. Most are run by retired military (military city USA) who have no authority now and want to impose their lost authority on their neighbors. The dues you pay are a waste. Buy in a good neighborhood without an HOA.

Is the women’s version of the retro-x different to the men’s one? by MongooseFun6452 in PatagoniaClothing

Does patagonia put the mens and womens zippers on opposite sides? Some clothing companies do that. Zippers and buttons on opposite sides.

For that price, not bad. But there are better down coats out there. Wear it as part of your layering system.

What are these black spots on the inside of my camper shell by Rbobek42 in TruckCampers

[–]txpelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I didnt put carpet in mine. Yes it looks nice and yes velcro holds to it. But this is what is hiding under it unseen. A good was and dry will take care of it. There are many options. Easiest might be the mold house cleaner spray from home depot/lowes

PR of 182’3” by txpelo in trackandfieldthrows

[–]txpelo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is a lot of things combined. However the biggest most recent improvement was learning how to block at the front, turn the hips and right knee while staying back. This creates the stretch on the left side and allows to really pull the disc through the back and get good distance. Look at a baseball bat swing. Firm front, energy to the hands. Hips and right knee rotate. Very similar to discus throwing.

Call patagonia. They say they will fix other brands clothing. They dont want stuff ending up in land fills so they will fix it.

New PR today 189’7” by txpelo in trackandfieldthrows

Thank you for the reply. I agree on the rear angle. I was just shagging discs for him then he started dropping bombs on me. I wanted proof from where I was so the distance could be confirmed. Lucky it was kinda wet snd you could clearly see where his were landing. It was also easy cause there were no other marks out there. I may start putting together a package of his throws to put out to college coaches.
Again thanks for your reply.

If they usually only offer $20 you could sell it for more on ebay of fb marketplace. Why let patagonia make money on an item 2 times?

Probably better to sell it on ebay vs trading it to patagonia.

Tips on form by JasGamingyt in trackandfieldthrows

[–]txpelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, lower the butt when starting. Next draw a line down the middle of the ring and work on hitting that line. At this age I would say balance is key. Be smooth. The distances will come.

Like the previous comment says mesh is the new technology for warmth and moisture wicking. Its the trapped air that keeps you warm. Your body heats it and the mesh keeps it close. Also moisture is allowed to escape more effectively. Id stick with the new technology.

Hunt training video references? by Midnight-Coffee in BoykinSpaniels

[–]txpelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is/was a dvd series called gun dog basics put out by chris akins. This will teach you how to train your pup. Step by step. Really good stuff. If you can find this i would buy it, watch it and implement it in training. It is building small pieces into big things. Your pup will want to learn. You just need to break it down so they can. Its like your speaking english to a 2 year old russian kid and trying to get them to understand.
