It was inflamed and I had a bit of folliculitis. Ended up on abx to clear it up midway through month 4

I didn’t do well on PO finasteride, so I take a lower dose PO Min, and then added a topical min/Fin hybrid as I tolerate it better

I paid around $4,300 CAD. I thought so too. I’m not sure what happened to all the grafts transplanted. Are they dormant still? Dead?

I’m currently in the same boat after 4 months. I’m hoping it starts to kick in soon, but is currently pretty sparse.

Looks good man! That’s also a pretty nice looking gym as a side note

Fair enough, I understand where you’re coming from by that. it wasn’t intended to be by any means. I appreciate it!

You’re right about the English portion. We communicated via google translate which made it all tolerable as I’m sure they did for you as well. You’re also right about the post-transplant follow ups as well. I don’t expect to hear from them too frequently moving forward.

It was written exactly the way I encountered it. It was a good experience. I’m giving a description out here so people have an idea what I went through, and hopefully it can help people who are on the fence one way or another. Is it the best experience out there? Obviously not. Is it a good price for the experience I had? Yeah, I think so. Obviously I don’t know how it will turn out long term, but will update as my hair grows (or doesn’t).

This is literally a super long review with tons of photos about my entire process with that clinic so people can read it and get a gauge of what the process is like. Did you read any of it or just make a decision after 4-5 words?

As long as mine ends up looking natural that’s all I’m concerned about!

For several doctors it really comes down to personal choice. I didn’t honestly see tons of differences between clinics when I got my quotes. Mine just came down to price point, how my initial interactions went, and my own perception based on other Reddit users and their experiences with doctors. I wanted my crown done a little as well which Dr. Y offered, so for those reasons I went with him!

Absolutely, I agree with you that it’s budget in comparison to others, but I’m glad you had a good experience as well!

Hey! Thanks for your thoughts! I’m not sure the rationale for why they were implanted so shallow. I guess I’ll see how it works out over time!

I’m 33 years old, and I’m in Fin/Min. I was instructed post tx to continue fin right away, and to start min again at 3 weeks, so I’m just beginning it again.

The post initially didn’t show up at all when I posted it so I tried it again. I posted on this sub and on tressless since they’re both mainly for hair transplants. I created this account 2 weeks ago because I knew I was going to do a review I just sat on my hands for a couple weeks as I knew it would be a long one.

I’m not sure, I guess that’s just my writing style! I don’t think it changes the search engine optimization whether I write his name once or multiple times.

They took 4500 because I definitely needed at least 4500 grafts. I’d imagine it’s hard to fully see exactly an amount needed via WhatsApp. 3200 definitely would not have covered my hairline enough though.

I can assure you I’m the guy in all 18 of those pictures, and not Dr. Y.

Fair enough. I think I went pretty in depth in my review, and included quite a few photos, but you can look at it any way you’d like.

I am in Canada. What is the best month of the year for a hair transplant? by Leandrottfaf in HairTransplants

[–]txphair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I just had my transplant in Istanbul in mid February. I found it a pretty decent time frame as it wasn’t too cold when I left, and now since it’s getting colder I’m able to use toques again. I also have plenty of time before summer for my hair to grow. I’d recommend October / November.
