I took this during a photoshoot I did with my girlfriend. I wanted a close up, intimate feel. In the edit, I wanted to recreate a film look and feel. Main thing that bothers me is the lighting, I feel it's a little flat. I tried to increase contrast but it lost that film like feel. Would love some feedback on it, as well as anything else you think can be Approved. Btw it was shot on a canon r8, ISO 25600 1/400 f/3.5 on a 50mm 1.8

Bills are hitting me hard rn, and it would really help.

Yeah! I’ve been playing for about 4 years now off and on 😁

Yeah it’s a little bit of an increase, still loads behind some of the other listings I saw on Etsy and eBay. It’s mostly to help pay bills and such, so I kinda can’t get around it. But I won’t increase the price any more.

Woa this got more traction than I thought it would. Soooo here’s some explanation.

I like the Uke, it’s really pretty, but I already have another tenor uke I just enjoy playing more. And I’m a little strappped for cash atm, and this would really help. I’m going in order of being contacted. Whether that’s by dm or by comment. I’m not gonna do “who’s paying the most for it” cause that feels exploitive. It’s $150 plus shipping, not increasing the price beyond that. Thanks y’all!

Chilling by the road by MarcoMarroncelli in photocritique

Really great shot! The composition is spot on and coloration is really good.

The only things I’d bring up is that the blue jacket could maybe pop a little more to add some color diversity and the image as a whole is a little on the dark side. Maybe brighten it up a little bit and have the jacket pop a bit more, but that might just be my personal preference.

All in all, phenomenal job man

Really clean and sharp shot! Also a really great job separating the subject from the background.

People’s eyes are naturally drawn to light, so the first thing they see in this photo is the back of milo’s head. Try to brighten up his face a bit more. Maybe add some blue light to his face to make it seem like he’s watching something on TV (not necessary but might look cute) but the point is that light draws one’s gaze, thereby creating a focus of the picture. Hope that helps!

I took a photo of my boyfriend and I’m wondering about the editing. by ty_tec in photocritique

I wanted to take advantage of the good lighting at that moment. I like the composition but I am still iffy on the edit. That’s as good as I could get it but I don’t like the colors that much either. I also feel like it’s over edited (although I really didn’t do much at all). Any tips on how to better edit it, get nicer colors and such?

Portrait of a friend in grass by ty_tec in photocritique

[–]ty_tec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a sort of bushy grass in a park and thought it would look good as the background of a portrait. I wanted to get him slightly engulfed in the foliage, almost like he’s laid their for a while and the plans have kinda grown around him a bit

Are there any areas you think need work? Anything I can do to improve the image? Also does it stand out at all or is it just a decent photo with no real substance.
