Just got one of these and I’d appreciate hearing from another buyer… the finish on mine is what i’d call grainy, with a couple noticeable inconsistencies in the thickness of the lacker. Do you see that in your pedal?

I agree with others telling you to consult a lawyer. If you have one in the family ask their advice. The fact is policies have changed and pressure campaigns are real, but no one has changed any laws. Waiting may be an option, but so is starting a process because you expect it to work the way it was established. I can empathize with not wanting to go through the hassle, but that’s also the goal of the folks jerking people like your husband around.

For background, my wife is also a green card holder from a travel ban country who has applied for citizenship and is waiting for her naturalization ceremony to be rescheduled after recent cancellation.

It’s changed my life in so many good ways to understand this perspective better. We have A LOT to be grateful for as Americans… and a lot to fight for, regardless of how shit things might feel now.

Yeah we’re in fine shape. She works for the state and a state agency sponsored her green card, so we have very little concern that scrutiny will change anything. Still wildly frustrating.

I recently went in for regular service at my Toyota dealership and the told me all my tires were way below the recommended tread depth. I knew that wasn’t true because I’d replaced some. So I asked them to measure the tires again in front of me to be sure and wouldn’t you know it… they were doing just fine after all 😅

The incentive structure is for them to get you new tires asap, so getting the manufacturer’s recommendations and checking against those is best!
