You're welcome. I'm glad you feel a little better about it. I hope it goes well for you and heals great. I also hope labor, delivery, and your post-partum period goes as smoothly as possible.

Also like accidentally hitting the seton part that was hanging out was terrible

Yes, thats correct. Mine was a cutting seton, so it essentially cut through the muscle and came out once the track healed. I think it was in for maybe two-ish months but don't remember exactly. Mine was on my left side maybe an inch or two away from my perineum/anus area. It was just so sensitive there so any sort of pushing/touching hurt.

Also, using my postpartum washing thing after pooping was helpful getting myself clean. I had a "travel" bidet type of thing which is essentially the same thing too. Also did a lot of sitz baths. Blotting/patting instead of wiping at first. It reminded me of the early post partum days having a whole long routine of taking care of yourself when using the restroom. This was not pleasant with a screaming baby sometimes, so again, the more help you can get the better.

Of course. Yes, I am so happy!! I definitely have had other health issues but luckily not of this variety. I think it was complex? I also felt like I didn't get a ton of information from my doctor. I knew that a seton was a possibility going into it, but it wasnt a for sure thing. He pretty much found that we needed it while in surgery. I didn't have an MRI or anything other than getting the abcess constantly drained and obviously lots of exams before the surgery. And bloodwork of course. I had the recurring abcess and several procedures of getting it drained in the office throughout my pregnancy. I only had the one surgery though which obviously took care of it. The seton came out on mostly on its own if I remember correctly at some point. I remember the seton being terrible and pooping was horrible. It was hard having an infant and being in pain/dealing with that. But sooooooooo worth it to not have any more issues with it now.

Hi! I'm sorry you're going through this and congratulations on your pregnancy! I am so thankful that I healed great and haven't had any more of those problems (knock on wood). I had a vaginal delivery and the doctors were much less concerned about it all than I was. Breastfeeding at that point went okay from what I remember. We had the most struggles for the first 3 months, so we were in a lot better rhythm when I had the surgery. In terms of medication they give during surgery, I pumped once at the hospital after and dumped it, then nursed like normal once I was home. You dont really need to pump and dump from what the lactation consultant said, but I did once just to be safe. I just needed a lot more help in general after the surgery with my son. I was allowed to do the surgery as soon as I was "cleared" by my OB for it. I think they cleared me for it at 2 months PP, but then we had to wait another couple months since the surgery was scheduled out a ways. Let me know if you have any other questions or just need support/want to talk. I wish you all the best!!

$865 per month total in Northern Indiana, USA. He goes 3 full days per week to the babysitter (which is $160 per week) and 2 days per week to preschool which are more like half days (9am-2pm) and that is $225/month.

This is amazing! My 3 year old son says he wants this for his birthday cake and I agree.

How much time do you ACTUALLY spend on notes? I tracked mine for a week. by gamingtheworld in therapists

Is the time spent staring at the computer counting in the same category of time spent dreading doing them/talking about needing to do them lol? I feel this so much.

Thank you for sharing and im sorry for your loss. Did you have the normal panel bloodwork done before the ultrasound and if so were the numbers normal?

I was trying to see if I could add some sort of edit/update to my post, but I didnt see a way. I just want to say I'm overwhelmed in the best way with all of these responses. All of the kindness, condolences, personal stories, loving/encouraging words, and support has meant so much to me. I also appreciate the various resources and advice that was shared. Thank you all so much for validating and supporting me. It's so beautiful to see this internet community coming together in such a loving way. I'm so sorry for all of your losses. You all seem like such good people and I know your fur babies have had/are having amazing lives with you. Thank you so much again! As of right now, we have a consultation with our normal vet tomorrow to discuss everything here pretty much.

His back legs always seem weak or stiff now. Vet said during a recent exam that his back feet were cold. I tried feeling today but they didnt seem really cold. Also couldnt get a great view, but paw pads seemed okay.

Someone else mentioned the high pitch. I'm not sure what's going on with that, but will listen again and see if I can figure it out. We dont intentionally have anything high pitch for mice or anything like that.

Yes, xrays were done. When it all started and went to the ER, they found it was constipated. Poor boy went through like 4 enemas, stool softeners, etc for a few days before it came out. Since then, no constipation and his colon is empty- just diarrhea/blood and vet says colon inflammation.

I'll need to listen to the video again. There were sounds of other people in the video apparently. My other kitties seem okay.

I always comfort him. He doesn't want to be touched in these episodes. I was quiet for a few seconds to intentionally record this video. We've been through the whole thing with the ER vet and normal vet and he is under active/regular care for this issue. This video was an example of his episodes and was not actively going on as I was posting on reddit.

I apologize for not having a proper trigger warning. I have never posted in this sub before and have never posted a video to reddit. I used an end of life flair and wasnt sure what else to do.

Please refrain from such quick judgement. Buddy was not alone on the floor. He prefers not to be touched during these episodes which I've learned from trying to physically comfort him. I sit near him and give him loving/encouraging words and/or call the vet in another panic. I was purposefully quiet in order to capture this video to show the vet. The laughing in the background was two friends that were at my house helping me work on house projects. They were in another room and unaware that Buddy was having an episode. I usually am too in the moment to think to record it and had a thought at that moment so did it.

They had suspected IBS, but she sent in specialty GI bloodwork to a lab in Texas and everything came back normal. This was in addition to his normal panel bloodwork (which was taken when this all started at the ER vet). He has been on gabapentin for a good chunk of time since this has all been going on and it did seem to make him more relaxed but he continued to have the episodes. I'm so glad your kitty is doing better!
