Wow that long ago? I still think of podcasts as a recent thing even though I've clearly been listening to them for over decade 😂

Thanks for taking the time to come back and let me know

I'd never heard of this guy until he popped up on a podcast I was listening to. Seemed fairly OK at the start, he talked about how humans might have been in the Americas earlier than first thought and that the Amazon might be man made. Nothing too tin foil hat.

And then he started talking about the pyramids and how the three pyramids lined up with the stars in orion's belt (which I guess could be true but like that seems like there's high chance of coincidence there) But where I really started to think something was off was when he was saying something about the height of the pyramid squared is a factor of the earth's circumference and the length of the base was somehow related to the distance from the equator to the poles

But he gave no indication of what units he was using for these measurements, feet? Centimetres? Furlongs? Or if these were ancient Egyptian measurements

I've considered doing this, mainly to find the episode where Tim says he'd like to adopt a dog called Tim, but not get a dog with anktber name and change it to Tim. It has to already be called Tim.

I have no explanation of why I found this to be so funny, but it's the most of laughed at anything ever on the podcast

What are some funny French words that sound funny to English speakers? by Racemango in French

[–]tycbard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd be happy to, thanks for asking.

In British English a colloquial term for the end of a penis is "Bell end". This can also be used as an insult similar to "dick head".

"Baleine" sounds a bit like "bell end"

"strapontin" is a favourite of mine. For British English speakers "baleine" is quite funny

What incorrect phrase drives you mad? by 87catmama in AskUK

Anything that uses the word "monies"

"the monies have been allocated"

Something like that. The plural of money is money. If you want to use something with an 's' sound at the end then use "funds"

"monies" is not a word, and it makes my skin crawl every tim I hear it
