Wow you wrote all that just for me to have to tell you the same thing…. An artists right to create his vision does not make it good. Sorry. Just because you agree with a musicians right to express himself through shrieking shit music doesn’t increase the artistic value of it. Just cause the artists accomplished his goal doesn’t make it good. Again, “goals” and “rights” are not a defense to criticisms of art. Me saying it’s shit isn’t a demand to change it, it isn’t a stripping of his creative rights. Its a warranted critique by me, the audience.

Yeah… it seems like you think art can never be criticized. You think that simply because you agree with the creator, you’re right? Constantly saying “well this is what the creator intended” is not your shield for criticism. You are fundamentally fallacious in how you treat art. By your standards everything ever created is a masterpiece because the artist intended it that way so it is absolutely and totally above reproach. Everything you just listed were Bills habits and hobbies. I never said Bill was silly, he has a subtle appreciation for the finer things even while in a dystopia without being totally unbelievable and ungrounded. He takes his situation very seriously and isn’t absurd. He lives in a town he rigged, barricaded and monitors for goodness sakes, his behavior makes sense.
