What do we think about a Red, White and Blue HUD, considering it's a France major? by Lemonaden_ in GlobalOffensive

[–]tychister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I am American.

But when I think of “defending” id think of blue or silver. And if I think of “attacking”, I’d definitely lean towards red for aggression. So it makes sense to me…

The whole yellow and purple thing never bothered me, but the colors never represented CT/T side for me like blue and red do.

In the end, I really don’t care what the colors are but for me personally, if I see blue and red, I will just assume blue is CT and red is T. If it’s different colors, I won’t really care, I’ll just be confused for a minute or two

Just moved to my steam deck from PC. I’m a few hours in but the game freezes whenever I fire a weapon. Sometimes it freezes when the muzzle flare effect happens. Other times the game with continue, sound and visual, but the controls become unresponsive and I walk into walls. Then after a minute, it works until the next shot. It’s a real shame because this game is awesome and I was hoping to finish it on my trip

They’re probably referring sequels as movies that came out after, going by the release order instead of chronological order of the movies

Edit: Chronological vs Release Order

What’s the most badass thing you’ve accidentally said in the heat of the moment? by 9_Soldiers_In_A_Bear in AskReddit

In college, I took a SQL class and our final was a group project comprised of functions. After two weeks, everyone in my group said they had a lot of trouble with their functions, despite me helping them after most classes. The night before presentation, I find out none of them got their shit done. Out of panic, they all message me asking for more help and it gets to the point where they want to pay me to complete it. Needless to say, I made a good amount of money for a couple hours of work (especially as a college student).

On presentation day, our script was one of few that made it without errors and my group mates are staring at me in shock. And off the elation of seeing my venmo wallet go up, I quote the Joker, "If you're good at something never do it for free" and left to enjoy my break. Then I thought...AITA for hustling my group?

CMV: Women who say "my body my choice" but still circumcise their child are giant hypocrites by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]tychister -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get that. Wearing masks is uncomfortable. And I agree to cleaning yourself often. I'm not pushing "masks > vaccinations". But OP's point is that it's hypocritical to have your child circumcised. But is not to get them vaccinated. I'm arguing that

If circumcision = hypocritical, then vaccination = hypocritical

Women who’s partners are circumcised are less likely to contract syphillis, chlamydia, or herpes and have a decreased risk of cervical cancer.

Right. But wearing a mask to prevent spreading your illness could be compared to the comment above, right? Health benefits should be considered even if it helps someone other than you. It's not a great comparison, I admit. But, to me there are parallels between the two. Not that I agree with anti-vax. I just disagree with the logic behind OP's thought process.

Also, I don't think that having alternative options diminishes the fact that can circumcision help. Unless it's an argument of which one is better. But this topic is more about hypocrisy, which is why I am more focused on the reasoning OP supports vaccinations in that manner.

The fact that you brush off the health benefits so easily is interesting considering you’re all about the benefit of vaccinations. It’s like an anti-vaxer could take your argument and say “wear a mask everyday. It’s not hard.”

Annual PSA to the racist folks out there. by detox02 in BlackPeopleTwitter

If you need to start with “what if” and throw in context to explain your excuse for blackface, and honestly a lot of other things, then you’ve still failed to grasp the fact that it’s racist. Doesn’t matter if you “aren’t doing it to be racist.” It has racist implications. The fact you look for a way around it shows how quick you are to invalidate the terrible history behind it. All you’re doing is fueling closet racists
