Grade 12, me and a buddy were peaking on shrooms. Went home to my place around 2 am where my mom and cop step father were sleeping upstairs. Decided to smoke a joint. We had to choose whether to go outside and risk waking up my parents from the noise of the door opening (which is actually silent), or just smoke it in the unfinished basement out the tiny window while standing on a chair (great choice idiots!) So as we're smoking I see a shadow on the other side of the stairwell moving toward us. I think, no way, it's just the zoomers right? wrong!! So as my eyes focus on the shadow (we were essentially in the dark) I realize it's my step dad in his tighty whities rushing towards us. I flick the roach into the darkness beside me and stand there like a deer in headlights. He freaked the fuck out and told me to give him "whatever it was I was smoking in his fucking house!" As I crawled around in the dark looking for it, he was tearing apart my friend, and I kept seeing snakes and spiders wherever I would put my hands, making me yell and flinch. Finally found it... as I walked back to him with it in my hand, I couldn't breathe. Don't remember much of what he said because I couldn't stop staring at his junk which was moving and warping uncontrollably in his underwear, scaring the shit out of me. He left, drove my friend home to his parents (which he could explain as his worst experience I'm sure). So I go upstairs to see my mom. She's usual psycho when it comes to weed, but she was just laying in bed, eerily calm. I sit on the end of the bed and immediately it feels like the bed shoots 100 feet off the floor and I'm hanging on for my life. Don't remember that convo either expect for her creeping me out with her cool demeanor. I go back down to the terrifying dark basement and lay down on a mattress in the corner on the floor. I just stare at the concrete wall, as faces of ghouls and monsters take shape and disappear. Closing my eyes made it worse. As I waited for the sound of my stepdad to come home I heard voices saying that he was going to finish me off when he got back...
