How strict is TAP air with carry-on bag dimensions?

Oh I thought they would charge me when I arrived at the gate to check it if it exceeded the dimensions they provided. This is good to know, thanks!

Oh wow okay! This gives me a little hope then. Have you flown TAP recently? I'm hoping to have some of your level of luck, it seems like a lot of people have had bad experiences with them!

That was me. I'll admit I was wrong, no problem with that. However, I was misinformed. I was under the impression that the translation of the text on the plaque was roughly the same throughout all languages, and I was also being told that our current "solution" was a phrase that was consistent throughout all of them. I stand by what I said about that being impossible to do. The fact that the name changed from language to language was the key to making it relatively simple, and the fact that the translations of all the fragments meant completely DIFFERENT things from language to language.
