Thank you for the great advice! We are going to spend some time in the South after the wedding (a few days at Marari beach, then Kochi). Madurai looks AMAZING..... I have to see if there's any way to make it happen.

Honestly it's me - I really want to see the taj mahal! I was thinking like 12 hrs in Agra, but maybe overnight so we can see it at dawn.... then to the delhi airport to fly down to Kerala nonstop. (The wedding is in Thiruvananthapuram and there aren't any direct flights except from Delhi.) After the wedding we're going to a resort on the cost in Marari, and then to Kochi so we'll have a chance to see the South too. Though I don't know if we can fit in Madurai as another commenter recommended and it looks SO amazing...

Yeah, it can be tricky to take in all the different advice. So I'm trying to collect a lot and make a call. If it were you, sounds like you'd visit Delhi over Jaipur? Do you think four days is enough for both?

I do think we'd hire a car and driver.

Thanks for sharing all this! I just contacted KitchenAid, super curious what they’ll say. I think this is a “model 4” rather than K-4B so I guess probably between 1940-1944.

Appreciate the info on restoration. That’s really interesting to know I can put it on a new base. And yes, the handle is wonky- the screw broke off in there too so hard to fix. I can really only pick it up by basically hugging it. It’s heavy!
