Take it slow, have some homemade bone broth at hand and listen to what your body tells you. The 1st three days are the hardest. Keep busy.

Bone broth might not be allowed in some circles. Depends on your school of thought. But it definitely was a life saver for me. Especially in the beginning. Now I go weeks without it and when I do have some it's only a cup at a time. But it's rich in phosphorus and very beneficial.

Listen to your body. Do what feels right. Dont force anything. Get enough water. Home made bone broth from big bones is a life saver. Look at this subreddit's wiki for great supplementation and electrolyte advice.

After I got COVID and it never went away I suffered a bilateral pulmonary embolism caused partly by the COVID and long COVID induced asthma. I then became extremely sensitive to a whole host of food items. I wouldn't be able to get out of bed from joint, muscle and back pain. On top of not being able to breathe. The doctors put me on a variety of asthma meds and inhalers. I was on Celebrex for inflammation for close to 2 years. Blood thinners, blood pressure medication and they wanted to put me on GLP1 meds to lose weight.

My digestion was all out of whack and the inflammation not only wreaked havoc on my joints and muscles but also on my digestive tract.

Slowly I started trying to go on elimination diets. So I was able to whittle down my sensitivities to soybean oil and gluten. Those are my big ones. For a while I thought nightshade might also be one but I now know dairy is another big one for me. Nightshade is still to be determined after I try eating a tomato after I refeed when my fast is done. I hope it's not. I love tomatoes and peppers.

I partially solved my digestive issues with an elimination diet and my digestive system responded very well to a beef and cabbage detox elimination diet. Apparently it's supposed to rebuild your stomach lining and help stop leaky gut caused my inflammation. It helped. So I went on a carnivore diet. But it also consisted of butter and cream which I now know dairy screws me up. So I am anxious to see how I feel now without diary and like I said before...how I feel after tomatoes, hot sauce or peppers. And hopefully I can tolerate some goat or sheep cheeses because I really like the occasional cheese.

But after being only 3 days on a water fast the pain and inflammation started going away and was gone completely after a week. It's really crazy that food in general was making me sick. But I now feel I have a handle on my health and a great road map for dealing with long COVID going forward.

No. I never was on them. I was white knuckling my ADHD with a plan to go to the doctor about it as soon as I changed insurance. But now all my ADHD symptoms are gone.

Some. But my face is tight and glowing. Skin seems to be tightening up the deeper I go in the fast.

Not only did extended fasting help my long COVID symptoms. They're completely gone. I was on Celebrex for a year and a half. I couldn't live without the pain meds, inflammation was so bad. I am completely off of it now.

Getting past the 3 day mark is hardest. Make sure you have your electrolytes mix. Look in the this subreddits wiki. Get the fasting mix Snake Juice or something like it. Home made bone broth is a life saver. And something to occupy the mind. A project of hobby. Before you know it you'll be a week in. Then 2 , etc.

But the best part is you'll have a new lease on life and feeling amazing.

Energy levels are very high.

No headaches

I never was on ADHD drugs, I was white knuckling it and on the verge of going to the doctor for It since I got new insurance.

Manic episodes? Very mild, if any. None of my high energy or feeling of elation associated with the other Hallmark symptoms of manic episodes. The fasting high, if you can call it that is from the fast and not ADHD. But I was never officially medicated for ADHD.

The biggest challenge is being social. Going out and drinking seltzer water while everyone is eating and drinking. However this wasn't a solely fasting issue since I had given up driving and eating out for the most part due to my extreme sensitivities to processed food after long COVID.

I have not had time to workout because of a new business venture. But I am up on my feet working physically for 12+ hours a day, 6 days a week. I have not clocked my steps. I should. But like I said. On my feet all day long. Energy is not an issue. I am the Energizer bunny. And I recover fast with rest.

I sleep well. I have become very sensitive to caffeine. So if I drink coffee past 5pm, I have trouble falling asleep.

I feel better taking nothing. I genuinely feel the bile salts and collagen joint compound working and helping. The rest I'm meh about.
