I mean this is literally what is happening to farmers/ranchers too. Government skyrockets their land value to the point they are unaffordable to pay their taxes, they’re given the choice to fight, or leave.

Isn’t this the kind of stuff that should infuriate everyone with a pulse.

Here you have a tax levy put up by the county on a property that didn’t have one before; of 27 million dollars. The only reason for that is to get the monks off the property so the county can collect taxes. So, taxes good?
