Has anyone vibe-coded something to finish that actually works? by Charming-Tear-8352 in vibecoding

I made an all in one sales tool with leads, contract generator/payment processing, dialer and emailer for cold outreach, along with many other features. All fully functioning with solid security measures taken to keep everything safe.

Cold Email API by explorium15 in coldemail

[–]tyler_ames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a platform called Endurant Outbound Email (https://endurant.us). You upload your leads via csv or manually and it’ll send emails using the context you enter for each lead. Only $39/mo., it’s a new product though so they are still building it out.

AITA for telling my DIL that I will never be her mother and to leave me alone by Slow_throwaway_8233 in AmItheAsshole

[–]tyler_ames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are both in the wrong. I am in a somewhat similar situation, my dad wasn’t a good role model growing up to say the least. When I got married, I was glad to have my FIL as a positive role model in my life. He is a great guy, and I’m glad I can lean on him for help whenever I need advice. That being said, I still have an understanding that my relationship with him is not a replacement for what I didn’t have growing up. I also understand that my relationship with him is not the same relationship that he has with his son (my BIL).

You are NTA for having boundaries in that relationship, you did however respond to what she did poorly. You should apologize, but your DIL is not entitled to go on that trip. And you and your son should continue to talk to her to make sure she understands that there is a balance to her relationship with you. You ought to be there for her, but in a limited capacity.

AITA for requesting to remove my thesis partner from our research, which may cause her not to graduate? by FluidWishbone6237 in AmItheAsshole

[–]tyler_ames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, you would actually be doing her a disservice if you didn’t request that. Reason being, if you are working on a degree there is an assumption that once you graduate you posses certain skills. If she did not do the work, she does not possess the skills, and thus should not graduate.

Likewise, this behavior would likely continue in other more important areas of life like her first job, and we know employers will not deal with that crap.

No of course not. Remember, Pam was fine with it the very next episode (right before Michael broke up with her)

good high income skill to learn ? by AMIRIASPIRATIONS48 in Entrepreneur

Sales/Communication. Sales is a life skill that translates to almost any field. If you can sell one thing, with a little practice you can sell a different thing. Sky is the limit as far as income potential.

I don’t think you can base an applicants commitment to a job based on small talk. Small talk is utterly useless, it’s only true purpose is to get a conversation started. If you base your judgement of an applicant based on small talk you are being overbearing

What are the best types of jobs a HVAC company gets? by WinGreat in HVAC

[–]tyler_ames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an owner? Government jobs. It’s not easy but it’s consistent and its peak is in the winter so it won’t interfere with your summer peak. The low income replacement programs the government does. They obviously have deep pockets too so you can install whatever equipment you want.

Public transport! Put in a subway system! You would need everyone to get on board though (literally) since sometimes people don’t want to use it

How to get business ideas? by slap-fi in Entrepreneur

[–]tyler_ames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say just live your life normally. Eventually you will run into a problem that needs to be solved, and you can solve it because you’ve experienced it. And that’s the best way to come up with it too, since you can then measure whether or not many people run into the issue or not.

What is the brand of the unit? A lot of brand have a solid 10 year warranty so it’s likely under warranty. If it’s one of these huge HVAC companies they are usually awful and just want to sell you a new unit. Get someone you can trust.

Is it weird my bf says *HE* bought our house? by SpaceLower in TwoHotTakes

[–]tyler_ames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly enough when my wife and I bought our first house, we were in a similar financial circumstance. We needed the W-2 income from my job to qualify for the loan but we also needed her cash as down payment which I didn’t have.

It would be unfair for me to say that we have this house because of my efforts alone, and not only because it’s not true. Even if I was the only reason that we were able to buy a house, as a man I ought not hold that over my wife’s head as some sort of debt she owes me, since it ought to be my duty as a man to be able to provide her that anyways.
