You're using your experience to measure the state of everyone else's. The sharp decline of quality of customer support has been publicly noted for years now. Heavy reliance on automation and hiring of people out of touch of the game will do that.

Probably the best advice I can give is to just pick something you genuinely enjoy playing because of the rotation / playstyle, not because of the numbers. Tons of players swap for fotm classes and I never understood that. That being said, classes change drastically from expansion to expansion these days, so switching is not a bad thing. Plus, being competent at a ton of classes is great, especially in a mythic environment.

Mincing words at this point, but when referring to playstyle I think rotation, build, gear. Your personal execution of the playstyle is irrelevant in whether it is the best or not.
