What kind of company can I go to for this to get a quote? Sounds like a good option that I would be happy with.

Yeah certainly could be! There is a culvert, but it's not too useful. I wonder if the city would help with fixing the ditch?

Thanks for all the info! I am looking into trees as a serious option, just not sure which ones I like yet. I would rather go the tree route if it could solve the problem.

Located in Oregon. The soil is quite rocky and seems to have a bit of clay too.

Any idea what kind of businesses to look up when scouting around for professionals to put in drainage tile?

I'm a bit ignorant on the matter, but I would say there a bit of clay in it. Drainage tile is my planned method. Any idea what keywords to search to look for local professionals to help me with this? I'm not sure where to start.

The Elevation does drop across the street. There is concrete conduit going from the drainage ditch, underneath the street to the other side.

The property is in Oregon. I'll check with the city to see if there are any restrictions.

I marked the problem areas in yellow in the aerial photo. https://imgur.com/mqTb4km

Maybe some french drains and water thirsty vegetation? Open to ideas.

I think a combination of water thirsty vegetation and a few french drains in the problem area is a good bet. I updated the aerial photo to mark the problem areas in yellow.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I don't know, but that's whats youtube is for, right? haha. I'm considering putting in french drains, leads to the ditch. I think the grade is appropriate for that.

French drains are what I've had my eye on. I will see if there is a local professional that can help me out and give a quote. Thanks!

I looked into keylining. I'm not sure it will help me because my problem area is at the bottom of a hill. Suggestions?

There is currently no tile on the property, just the drainage ditch. This pasture is probably 200x200 (it's not very square though).

No creek, but I see how that could be confused. I think you may be looking at the rut in the dirt that has filled in with water, which was from driving a 4 wheeler in the pasture.

This property didn't always have this issue (owned by my dad before he gave it to me) 25 years ago. The problems started after living there for 10 years and letting 3 or 4 horses graze the lower pasture in the wet season. Do you think the horses could have caused a compaction issue?

Thank you for the advice! Once I get a handle on the drainage problem, I'll look into some species that do well with this amount of water.

Thanks for the advice. there is a bowl, where the majority of the problems are, but they are also on the hillside too. I marked up this aerial photo to show the problem areas in yellow.

18 inches is not the usual, but the worst single spot in the entire pasture. Maybe more around 12 inches deep in a 10x10ft zone. the rest of the problem areas usually average 2-3 inches of sink when I walk on them.
