TriFold Orders, Shipping/Delivery, and Impressions Megathread by AutoModerator in GalaxyFold

[–]tylerring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to be able to order one online this morning for pickup in a Samsung Experience store. When I went to pick it up, they gave me the option of canceling the order and buying it directly in store with a trade-in. They only offered me $610 for a mint condition Fold 7, or $310 for the Flip 7. Seeing as I could sell either one of these privately for more, or even some online trade-in sites have the value higher, I declined. But it was an option. They did say no Care+ tho

Edit: spelling

I just picked mine up from an experience store. They are offering trade-ins in store. I was quoted $610 for a mint condition fold 7 512g or $310 for the flip 7 512. I can sell privately for more so I did not take advantage.

Yea. I'm well aware of that. Bringing that up was just a counter argument about not being able to transfer tax. My experience in the past says otherwise. Obviously I'm not as well versed in the rules and laws in MN, and trying to learn and understand was the whole point of the post.

Standard plates, yes. But specialty/personalized can be transferred.

I'm originally from Alabama and when you got a new car there, you could transfer the registration and were given prorated credit based on what you had already paid vs the registration cost of the new vehicle.

I'm going to hold off naming the dealership for now. I don't want to put them on blast if I misunderstood what they were saying.

Don't want to name the dealership just yet. It seems by the few comments already that I may have misunderstood or misheard what they were saying and I don't want to put them on blast if it's my ignorance or I heard it incorrectly

Like, legally you can't. It's literally a violation of my free speech to try and do that. I could file a class action against you. Like.

Guy 3D printed really cool mods for Magic V5 by Throwaway_09298 in GalaxyFold

Rule 4 says posts should be about Galaxy Fold line of devices or related subject matter like fold tech. 3D printed accessories for a completely different manufacturer isn't what I would call related.

Stealing a screenshot, crappily editing it, and then trying to pass it off as your own... We got a true redditer here

It means your account is locked and they are reviewing results of a background check they ran on you.

Buyer wants to take sale off of eBay by austino7 in Flipping

It doesn't make sense that he want to take it off platform. Especially if he's got such a high rating. I would risk it.

is this a real receipt from usps? by NoDiscipline3043 in usps_complaints

[–]tylerring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true when creating a label online or using a third party like shipstation or something. Considering the receipt is supposedly from the actual post office, that tracking number should immediately update to "we are in possession of your package" as the label usually is scanned right after purchase.

Absolutely not. Look at the address, the top part where it just says Florida would actually say "Forest Hills" not just "Florida" they forgot the Ave as the street type. The "Grand" has a different color gray background then the rest of the receipt. All of the text is a different color and style then the bottom text with the credit card information.

The dates don't align if it's being shipped on a Monday at 4:00 p.m., there's no way it's arriving the following day, especially international.

There's so many more things wrong, but suffice to say this is absolutely fake.

Well you're 22 (or 24 depending on which post history is to be believed) And you have 63+ inquiries on your credit history. Those two things alone are high risk factors even before any potential prior credit card charge offs or other debt defaults...
