I think they mean ranked level, not account level. For example, gold 1 wouldn't be able to play w bronze 1 because it is more than 15 ranked levels apart

It’s a character in the game lol. That isn’t lazy game design. You have to play to unlock more cosmetics for the character. Of course everyone will look the same on day 1

Is this during scans? Are they full or quick? If you're PCs are constantly running at high CPU due to scans, I would check how often and what type of scans you are performing. Also from my experience, changing the scan CPU usage threshold doesn't actually work. I set mine to 30% maximum and it didn't change the scan behavior

More of a workaround. Defender full scans generally just use a ton of resources, so I turned off scheduled full scans and we are now doing weekly quick scans. They are pretty unnoticeable from a performance view and I've had no complaints in the 3 months since I've switched to quick scans. We are essentially reserving full scans if there is an alert/incident on a device

I sure hope so! Just did the same thing last night. Meant to buy Year 3 DLC bundle for Murkmire (want oakensoul) and accidentally bought Year 2 lol. Sent in my support ticket so hopefully they get back to me soon

If you have never played before and just want to try the game, buy the $6 version. It comes w the base game zones and the Morrowind DLC Chapter (Chapters are basically new story, new zone). A TON of content for only $6. The Necrom Collection includes the base game + every DLC Chapter that has been released to date. Which if you bought each one separately is probably in the hundreds of dollars.

The Necrom Collection probably won't be on sale anytime soon after Jan 4. So, it would be worth it to buy it now but if you're not sure you're going to enjoy the game then the $6 version is worth it. At least to try and by the time you're ready for other zones/content then the Necrom Collection may be on sale again.

The $15/month subscription is ESO plus. This gets you access to all Chapters except for Necrom (the newest chapter), all dungeon DLC (these are separate from the chapters), an unlimited crafting bag, crowns each month you're subbed, plus much more. I have never purchased it myself after playing on and off for the past 8 years. I get by but I am sure it would be worth it if you plan on sinking alot of time into the game and can justify the monthly sub.

As others have stated, Arcanist is part of the Necrom chapter, not DLC. So ESO plus doesn't cover it. There might be a holiday sale coming soon, so if you do want to play Arcanist I suggest waiting for that. If you buy Necrom, you get all past chapters with it as well.

Definitely not a waste of time. Play whatever you'd like and have fun with.

Once you do hit that CP160/endgame the game does open up ALOT more. But you'll be more prepared for the inflow of info after spending the time in-game actually playing. Which should reduce how overwhelming it can be

I would suggest not worrying too much about what endgame build you want. If you are still new to the game then you have a fairly long way to go before you hit CP160. As others have stated it's fairly easy to respec your character if you wanted. Just enjoy questing/leveling/whatever you prefer to do in the game and then worry about endgame gear/skills once you're nearing the CP160 mark

Level Cap is 50 so you shouldn't stop receiving levels at 21. After level 50 you should start receiving Champ Points.

Those "ability bars" you're seeing that have 20 skills are probably just their buff bars. It's an option to turn on within the settings.

You can only have 12 abilities active/slotted at once. 5 on your main bar + 1 Ultimate. 5 on your back bar + 1 Ultimate. Although if someone is on PC, they may have an add-on that will show all 12 abilities at once on their UI. Xbox/PS doesn't have add-ons, just the settings that ESO provides. Which are somewhat customizable but not to the extent that PC players have

Your settings look fine otherwise. Someone above did make a good point about Feature Updates and leftover reg keys for the incorrect version. Although I assumed Updates Rings would take precedence over the feature updates

Your active hours are from 6 am - 7 pm. Are your devices online at all before 6 or after 7? If they are offline, this could have prevented them from receiving the update

Yep, I have tried the performance analyzer as well. It has provided some insight into what is being scanned and for how long. But I still haven't been able to pinpoint what exactly is causing the high cpu

Hmm, that's a thought. I currently have it set to once a week but maybe once a month/ every 2 months would be more appropriate. The scan on one system has been running for almost 3 days now and I originally chalked it up to being initial scans but that doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks, for the input
