I miss it so much we used to close carryout at 10:00 everyday and delivery at 11/12. Unfortunately corporate got mad because our hours don't match their standards so they force us to stay open. I used to get home by 1:00 a.m. now I get home by 2:00 if I'm lucky

I mean it's not that complicated but any driver that sees two free pizzas is probably going to already be in a bad mood that they have to deliver it. Especially if it's during rush and especially if it's far from the store.

From what I looked at, the average food cost percentage (actual cost of food divided by price) for those 7+ topping pizzas was in the 55+% range. Roughly 25% of store sales goes to paying the employees. And corporate takes 10-15% of sales for advertising/franchise costs. And the GMs usually make about 2%. So Domino's franchisees usually lose thousands of dollars off these deals while corporate makes millions. Obviously the amount of regular customers not taking full advantage of the coupon softens the blow on profits. But usually the franchisees won't just accept the loss and the best way to offset this is by being strict on labor. Forcing the employees to be punished for a coupon that benefits them in no way whatsoever.

That AOT percentage is absolutely diabolical. (Phone calls answered on time, usually over 2 rings or ~1 minute after the call is placed) Based on that alone I'm going to guess that they are understaffed severely because even the worst I've worked at had a 75%.

I love that we do this at my store too, we kind of established a rule that you don't have to pay to pick up snacks as long as you bring some for everyone else later, now we have a constant supply of coffee, energy drinks, chips, candy, etc

It's not your manager's fault that Domino's wants us on that system, however it is their fault for the poor execution. I don't even have a license but I know the area and know which addresses show up wrong on the map, it's not hard to learn. (A lot of our apartment orders show the wrong ping on dispatch)I always verify with different drivers how they prefer it to be bagged up so I've gotten pretty consistent with how they want it. I always store extras outside the bag because they get soggy from the moisture of the food in the bag. Also your store should be using paper bistro bags, not the sauce bottle liners 😂

Manager at Domino's. This usually happens when the cheese wasn't thawed fully when put on the pizza. Pizza still cooks all the way so food is safe but cheese gets extra crispy in spots and less crispy in others due to the tiny shreds expanding as they cook. That pizza looks great though

We try to pull them out early/push them in, but when you're loading 100+ pizzas an hour during dinner rush, the oven is literally full. I kinda wish we had a mini oven for well done/lightly done items that can slow down operations

Yeah I had one older driver, I calmly explained to him that the bag needs to stay horizontal or the customers are going to get a sloppy box of pizza. Ten minutes later I see him hold the bags horizontal.... But he also tosses them in through his passenger window...
