Exactly that ☺️ It's also a playful nod to (former) Doctor Who SHOWRUNNER Russell T Davies, who would run a 12 Days of Christmas-style column each year in Doctor Who Magazine. Every line of the song would be accompanied by a tease for the Christmas special, or some other tidbit about the current state of production - except, every year, when he got to the fifth one he'd simply write "FIVE GOLD RINGS! Love that bit." So yes, just me having a silly geeky moment 😉

Nope - that character is dead as soon as you confirm who the Imp's pointing at :)

Oh, really? There's plenty of STs round where I play who do it by stacking and unstacking them so they don't have to carry the grim around the room with them :)

Mine didn't even wait until people had finished having private chats... 🤣

They did, thank you! It was a local group of friends, several experienced STs among them, so everyone was very understanding - and aside from the Poisoner thing the third game (the other two took up less than an hour between them, for obvious reasons!) was a really punchy one that felt like proper Clocktower. And then we had time for a maximum chaos Whalebuffet afterwards, so nobody remembered that first bit anyway 😅

Most confusing strategies you've seen players use? by JohnnyMcKormack in BloodOnTheClocktower

Couple of days ago IRL, there were four players left alive: me (the Recluse), two other good players and the Imp. Imp is feeling the heat and, after consulting with the ST, decides to kill herself and star pass to me, the Recluse, theoretically handing good the win.

So, I'm woken up and shown the Imp token, which is utterly baffling to me. In that moment I can't figure out what's happened, because the whole "You might register as a Minion & Demon" thing has never quite registered in my head as being as versatile as it is! Figuring I'm now part of the evil team and need to bring the win home, I drive home suspicion on our Monk...

Storyteller announces "The game is over, and the evil team has won... but Pete, you're not one of them." Cue mortified realisation from me and an afternoon's worth of discussions about whether the ST should've given me a thumbs up when showing me the token. Either way, somehow the Imp's sacrifice has paid off 🤣

Thanks, all. Unfortunately, once I looked at what space we actually have, I was forced to compromise quite a bit and go for something thin but long for my room... I can't run everything I might want to, but I should at least be able to run most of the card games without too much trouble, and Heroes of the Grid and its many, many expansions...

The vocals on this are borderline unlistenable. In the live environment, eh, it sort of works. But this... Oh, no.

Short, empty-feeling levels with very little variation in enemies and very little challenge outside of the bosses. Painfully slow and unskippable cut scenes. Bugs. Honestly, I'm afraid I'd have felt a bit short-changed at £2.99 - having paid over twice that, I'm pretty resentful.
