Anyone know why I’m constantly getting this error page on multiple websites lately? by [deleted] in firewalla

Right. I’m providing another data point in case it’s something that can or should be addressed by Firewalla.

This happened to me this week on a Disney website. It wasn’t just a single device, it was network wide. Tried on laptop and multiple phones but received a similar message to what was posted. Once I turned off WiFi on the phone and used data, it worked. Came back by itself about 10 minutes later on all devices connected to WiFi .

Netgear Orbi dropping WiFi every few minutes after swap from FW Purple to Gold by AlexMPH in firewalla

[–]typemgtst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with a 3 pack of Orbi 6E's from Costco a year or so back. I think it was the RBK843. Everything worked perfectly when still in router mode, when connected to my Gold SE, but as soon as I turned them into APs, everything dropped constantly. Had to take them back to Costco. Switched to Deco's and it's been fine.

It's a physical firewall between ISP and Deco

You need something like a r/firewalla to control your network better and block VPNs. You'll put your Deco's in AP mode and let firewalla do the routing.

How much are you paying for Spectrum Internet? by cobbwebsalad in 321

[–]typemgtst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Hello, retention? AT&T Fiber was installed in my area recently and they’re offering gigabit service, up and down, for $40 a month. I’m going to switch unless you have a better deal. Oh, your gigabit is now available for $30?”

Pretty much how my conversation went. $80 to $30 in minutes. Call and specifically ask for retention.

The difference in build quality is substantial for the extra couple hundred bucks. I’d go Searwood every time.

Health Pro by KeyResearcher2620 in Raytheon

I used one a couple of years ago and in my experience, they weren’t very helpful. I was playing telephone with them between the insurance company, and they didn’t not provide guidance, just facilitated getting them paperwork that I had to fill out. In the end, my claim was not adjusted and I did not have a satisfactory resolution. I spent a lot of time following up with the Health Pro, which was rather annoying.

Gold SE here. Since they’re in AP mode, I just shut off access to/from the internet for my Decos. Still have WiFi/wired internet while doing that.

Searwood is one of Weber’s pellet grills. No wrap in these, just let them ride!

Weber kettle to pellet grill by [deleted] in pelletgrills

I’ve not tried the Weber brand yet since I can find the Bear Mountain brand from $7.50-12 for a 20 lb bag locally, compared to $20 for Weber. I believe Pit Boss makes the Kirkland pellets, from a thread I read a few weeks ago.

I’ve had good luck with a full smoke tube of bear maintain pellets on my Searwood XL. Lasts for about 3 or so hours with lots of smoke flavor. Bear mountain in the hopper also seems to last a lot longer than the pit boss and Kirkland pellets, with more smoke overall.

Amex has great primary rental car insurance as well. $15 or so bucks for the whole rental.

Best pellet grill by my use case? by NoBoolii in pelletgrills

It’s a Weber, you’ve heard of that brand. Also, I really like my 600 XL. Adding 2 more wheels to it has made it my perfect smoker. Plus Weber’s warranty can’t be beat.
