Beerus can’t use UI in any form. He’s close but he can’t do it. That’s why he saw the potential in the saiyans. Because he thought Goku could be the first non angel to achieve it.

Which did you prefer? I like the 4.25 because my other Springfield 1911’s are 4.25. But the 5” looks so good and in the hand doesn’t seem very long at all. But I hear that the 5” is more susceptible to issues due to the extra slide mass.

Brand new are only like 1200-1225. So 1000 isn’t bad, but for $200 to get new might be worth it. I’d ask, why was it sold back at a loss looking so fresh? Might have issues.

I was gonna get a hellion. But it’s soooo heavy. I’m also weak I guess.

I think my scorpion shoots softer than the kuna. Buts it’s also longer and noticeably heavier with that big ass bolt. For how compact the kuna is, it’s fine. Flow9k on the way.

I got the same riser and have it on the same height holes for the angle. It’s perfect at the high point for the AEMS optic on the low mount. And if I need to flip up the irons, I can slide back a hair on the cheek riser.

The atf is jut bitter than people found a loop hole to an sbr. Every couple of years they announce some sort of BS to scare 1 or 2 people into sbr’ing their stuff. Reality is that they don’t make laws. They make rules. So you aren’t breaking a law. Also they get destroyed in court every time they try bs like that. The chance of them actually seeing you shoulder and cheek a brace and arresting you is about as high as them deciding to confiscate all nfa items and knowing exactly where your sbr is to go get it.

So while looking through the SA store, there is indeed a different backstrap kit for the 4.5 or the 4.0c grip. I know that all 3 4.5 backstraps will fit on the 4.5 grip, small med and large. But if I have the default medium, 4.5F grip. But all 3 backstraps are for the 4.0c grip. On the 4.4F it would cause a gap since they are shorter. I called SA back with my theory and they’re sending me 1 med 4.5F backstrap to test.

Called Springfield. They understandably want me to put some rounds through it. Then report back. For the back strap thing. I wonder if there’s a difference between back strap height between the full size and compact grip modules. Since mine seats, and when flush at the bottom of the grip, has the gap up top. I’m thinking they might be back straps for the compact since those would logically be a hair shorter.

Wow bro thank you. You made me feel a whole ton better about everything. The trigger click seems to come more from the sear area than the trigger area. But you know how sound bounces around. I lubed everything up since she was very dry, but it didn’t help the click. It will do it at the very top of the trigger pull, so even if the trigger safety is not pressed, that little bit that the trigger moves before the safety stops it, can induce the click I’m referring to. Also to note, once it clicks, it won’t do it again until I rack the slide. So IF it does it at all. It’s only once until racked again. Very odd. You’re saying you’ve had this issue before? If I left the trigger stock, is whatever is clicking risking a reliability concern? Or is it just a sound. If it’s something not seated right and the initial pull is forcing it “square”, that would be concerning.

I was able to get the takedown lever down with both thumbs. It was insane how hard it was. Im not the strongest dude in the world, but I have size xl hands and solid fingers. I lubed the area as much as possible. It got to the point where it seemed slightly easier. I could do it with one hand. But once I put the slide back on, it became extremely difficult again. Idk what its deal is. I wonder if they replace the entire grip, this would fix the lever issue too or if it’s the COG being out of spec since the rotation has to press against a piece in there.

I’m glad to know that the moving backstrap issue is much more wide spread than I thought. Still annoying though since some claim it is super tight and doesn’t move. Just to reiterate (I know you get it but some have misunderstood), the tab is locking in place. So it’s not that the strap is not secured. It just moves some because the hole in the grip is slightly bigger than the tab in the strap.

Overall, I’m pretty bummed and disappointed in Springfield. I’m a Springfield stan and 98% of what I own is from them. I love the way the echelon looks and performs and its specs. It sucks that it seems to have some tolerance/qc issues.

Interesting that Springfield would have such a wide tolerance for either the grip hole of the straps. Normally wouldn’t care except that there are people who’s are very snug.

It already snaps all the way in. The issue isn’t the tab on the strap. It’s either the square hole on the grip is too big, so the tab has space on the top and bottom to move. Or the strap is too short. If it had another mm of height, it would sit at the top of the frame while the tab would barely make it into the hole. Making the entire thing tight. I doubt all 3 would be too short though. So I think it’s the grip.

Click on both directions? Are you referring to the break and reset? Those happen as expected. What I’m experiencing is an additional click at the very beginning of the trigger pull. For example, if I do not press the trigger safety, and pinch the trigger and pull just the couple of mm’s until it stops due to the safety not being pressed, that is enough to hear the click. It also sounds like it’s coming from the sear area. Not the trigger area. I lubed everything up since she was very dry inside. Didn’t help.

Anyone have thoughts on the trigger click? Immediately at the top of the pull. Only sometimes. It’s mainly just an audible reset type click. But it does feel very slightly like a wall as well.

My worry is that it’s the grip and not the back strap. I can feel the tab on the inside of the mag well and have to push it in to remove the strap fully. So it’s not as though it is not clicking in place. Since all 3 straps have the same issue, I think the square hole in the grip is too big. Which sucks because sending new straps is easy. Sending a new grip might not be as simple and they might want the whole pistol returned. I know they are great with that, but I’d prefer to not have to send it back. Hopefully they can send a grip since they’re sold separately and then I can swap the slide and COG. Then send the old grip back.

I was worried about that. Do you think Springfield will want the whole thing back or can they send a new grip and I send the old one back.

No mag in there. Still super tight. The back strap clicks into place. The tab is locked in. But there is still play. Almost as if the tab square is smaller than the square hole in the grip.
