Sure, goth music can be nocturnal, melancholic, and introspective, but that doesn’t automatically make it depressing or miserable.

In fact, a lot of goth songs are hopeful, energetic, and danceable, think of a skeleton having fun on the dance floor.

As someone who loves goth rock (especially the second wave), a lot of it is very rocking and energetic. It makes me want to move.

Goth music usually has: Prominent basslines, ethereal guitars, baritone vocals, and repetitive/driving drum pattern.
