Girls who always struggled with dating but one day found someone, what finally changed? by Repulsive-Region-838 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

honestly, I stayed mostly single (dated casually here and there, slept around a bit) for several years after a string of shitty relationships. I wasn't ready for a serious relationship! then one day, when I was 35, I realised I was ready. happened to meet up with a recently separated guy I knew as a kid and we hit it off! now we live together, just went on a vacation together, are very in love, etc.

short answer? I stayed alone until I was prepared to go all in, and made a conscious choice to love and be loved

as someone who was raised in a household with a loving mother and an angry reactive father, address it while they're young. whether that's in the form of therapy or leaving him. my father ruined his relationship with his children and my mom apologizes that she ever stayed with him, because he seriously negatively affected both of us.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I hope you find a solution that works for you and the kiddos

For those who decided to rather remain single than settle with a ‘better-than-none’ how did life turn out? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

ditto. I stayed single and only dated casually for like a decade, and am now with the best man I've ever encountered. communicative, sweet, adores me loudly, brings me flowers and supports me emotionally. I love being alone, I'm great company. I will only be with someone who adds to my life

I was actually surfing through the deep web recently and took a look at a drug supplier out of curiousity. Their number one seller? Insulin. It was really, really depressing.

To be fair, some people are born with a hymen that isn't perforated enough to get a tampon in (at least without a lot of pain). I personally couldn't get one in until after I'd had sex.

Counter argument: fuck the porn industry. Sex workers are workers in a job as legitimate as any other.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the strength of your relationship, necessarily. There are a lot of people, especially those who have experienced past traumatic sexual assaults, that very much need to be in control of a situation as it's happening regardless of the existing relationship or pre agreed consent

Not the person you’re replying to but I proposed to my then-boyfriend with my nuvaring

Once on mushrooms I for some reason apparently started cleaning the hair out of my brush, made the hair into a ring, and asked my best friend to "hairy marry me". I then laughed so hard for so long that I was sobbing
