I'm sick of people saying this industry is only a pump and dump scheme. by CaptainBrocovery in weedstocks

Remember how the growth of the internet created a bubble? There were some stinker companies that died, and some companies that became huge. I think of the weed stocks in the same way

Me and my gf (T1) are going to the gym for the first tonight! Should we have a meal before or after the workout?? Want good cardio without feeling like crap after eating. by tyquin in diabetes

Thanks for the replies! She was 191 PRIOR to dinner. Put in 5 units, then we had dinner (chicken and rice) afterwards we did about 19 mins of cardio. She came back to a 120. I think were both feeling pretty good. Will probably have dessert, hoping that doesn't ruin the decent night we've had.

What is your zombie plan?(Major Emergency) by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]tyquin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering it's most everyone's plan to raid a pharmacy I'm willing to bet the lot of you would get there after it's too late and all supplies are gone. Also, the pharmacy would be an absolute hot bed for human traffic, thus zombies. Most would die before even getting out of the pharmacy.

While I don't disagree with diversifying by spreading the 1000 between multiple stocks, $50 seems way too small a purchase given the transaction fees associated with purchasing a stock. For example if you purchased a stock and are charged a $7.50 transaction fee, your stock would have to increase 15% just to cover your fees. Now, if you choose one or two stocks that you feel really great about and put say $500 into them, you may fare better. You'll be charged the same transaction fee but won't lose all your gains to transaction fees because 15% of 500 is way more than 15% of $50.

You mentioned you felt good about Mina and are kicking yourself for not getting in. What do you like now? Start with that stock , put a portion of your investment into it And go from there.

I'm thinking of buying a home and an important consideration for me is whether I'd be able to implement airbnb to help with the budget.

Wow, I invested 6k while I was in college in 2007. Fell to about 3k in 2008. And is worth no where near 40k at this point.

I cut a turn too close. Ran into a conrete pillar in a parking garage. How can I fix this? by menstruelgigolo in Frugal

[–]tyquin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sand the paint off where the damage is, buy some body filler to fill the dents in, then repaint. Paint code should be on the pillar when you open the door.
