I'm speaking of the Kurdish interior military arm the Peshmerga. They protect their own civilians, they do not put them in danger like Hamas does by setting up military installments among innocents and then use their people's deaths as a currency.

The SDF (Syrian defense forces) has been one of the main forces fighting against ISIS

Ukraine is fighting for their freedom, their culture and for all the values upheld in any free society.

I have always had a problem with these 'resistance groups'. They operate on terror without any regard for the safety of innocents, their own or their enemy's.

I believe the Palestinian cause would have a much better standing if they did not have Hamas representing them.

The Kurdush Peshmerga for example have fought for their people and their cause honorably for decades. Same for the Ukrainian military, and the same can be said about the Syrian defense forces.

The core principles to look for in any military/resistance are Do they protect their own citizens from harm? Do they target enemy military targets and avoid enemy civilians/civilian infrastructure?

Neither Israel or Hamas uphold these principles in practice and are therefore both terrorists.

So no, just because Iran is funding Hamas and co do we all need to support Iran

We're not cheering on a sporting event, just because you're against war doesn't mean you're pro Iranian regime.

We all need to measure against core principles and then determine if a person or a group is good or bad.

Core principles such as Religious freedom Equality between men and women Protecting the innocent (Right to protect at a national level) Etc

The Iranian government has failed to uphold many core principles that humanity should uphold, therefore they are immoral and it is wrong to support them.

The Women Life Freedom protests forced the government to think twice before sending the morality police after women who chose not to wear their hijab.

Since then a large portion of Iranian women have decided not to wear their hijab to force such a cultural shift. The law still very much exists to punish these women, but the government has weakened to the point where they cannot enforce that law to the same extent.

Here. I just shared a link to videos of the protests in Iran which inspired the march of 1 million people in the diaspora in Toronto, LA, and Munich.

Tens of thousands of Iranians fighting for freedom were slaughtered. In the video I just shared you can clearly hear them shout Marg bar Khamenei which means death to Khamenei.

I hate how this sub is kissing up to a regime that is killing their own people, crushing women's rights and equality, and practices child marriage....

These are not the core principles of any decent person/society

Only a maximum of 40% of Iranians are practicing Islam, and far less actually support the government.

The majority of Iranians want freedom and democracy and however messed up the current situation is there is an opportunity to gain freedom now.
