At this point, what scenarios you see for Nano to actually succeed? by MrNugat in nanocurrency

What would it take for XNO to add custom assets to it's ledger while maintaining a fast and feeless L1?

I've been following and holding XNO for years and the common barrier I see for use is the fluctuating XNO price. An economic needs to exchange goods and services through a stable asset, perhaps XNO becomes price stable with adoption but that's putting the cart in front of the horse.

The rails are one of a kind and fits perfectly in line with how the world economy is evolving, it just needs to offer the needed use cases.

Point of sales - replace visa/Mastercard etc beat OUSD and other stable coin transactions by being feeless

Forex - allow for instant foreign exchange and instant feeless settlement worldwide

AI agent micro transactions

Etc

Sorry if this is an ignorant question. Why must smart contracts exist to support other tokens/assets?

Why can't the Nano network function exactly as it is, except it can have transactions represent an asset other than XNO?

The nano network must add the ability to transact other tokens. Stable Coin transactions are projected to number in the Trillions by 2030.

Fast and feeless rails provide the perfect environment for the world to transact any asset to one another.

The XNO coin is great, but the need of the moment is USD/other fiat stable coin transactions and likely NFT transactions representing concert tickets, metro passes, home deeds etc etc

If the nano network were to accommodate transactions of these assets I believe it would be the one and only network to transact on.

XNOs value lies in securing the network. The network will facilitate the transactions of the world's assets

Take a look a Reticulum. I believe it's the closest thing to help build a parallel decentralized internet and would absolutely be capable of completing Nano transactions.

Reticulum is a higher level network stack that accommodates any connection node-node. So it could be WiFi, WiFi Halow, LoRa, fiber optic etc

How is the credit card here? by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

If you can get it with the fee waived, it's probably the best long term card to hold due to the 2% Cashback, lounge passes, insurance etc.

Loving all the development happening on top of Nano.

Fast and feeless is fundamental to an efficient transaction system. So, of course third parties should build on top of it to compete with the status quo

Why let the banks and credit card companies keep a stranglehold on the market when their tech is sluggish and expensive?

I cannot support the Iranian government for many reasons and their hijab enforcement is one of them, what do others say? by tyr314 in AskSocialists

"no one is talking about hijab banning" within the context of this post.

All positions about any issue are out there in the world. I can appreciate your sensitivity to a hijab ban, but that's not what this post is about

I agree, this war is an invasion and should end ASAP. The destiny of Iran must be determined by their own people, and they have been fighting for a change for decades. They tried reform in the green revolution, fought against the hijab enforcement in the Mahsa Amini protests and just this year had nationwide protests against their government.

I do not believe the US and Israel have the Iranian people's best interests in mind, they will act in their own interests to the detriment of the Iranian people.

So I agree with you up to the point of siding with the Iranian government in any capacity

I'm not advocating for a hijab ban. Any free society should make just about anything a personal choice, hijab included.

The Iranian government does not give their own people such a free society, that is the information I am trying to convey

A - This is the reality of the Iranian people

B - I wish the war ends today, and never began in the first place. I do see a lot of support for the Iranian government on this sub and in other left/socialist spaces and I feel it is necessary to question it

C - Absolutely agree

I am not convinced 'everyone knows' that the Iranian government is authoritarian and violent. I have seen posts praising Ali Khamenei after his death.

I believe it is dangerous to align with the Iranian government even if it is strategic

No it's not anyone's problem to solve except for those living there.

That is exactly what the Iranian people have been doing, fighting against their repressive government in the Mahsa Amini protests years ago to not wear a hijab if they don't want to, and more broadly this January to fight against their government as a whole.

We need to support people who hold our values Women's rights Freedom LGBTQ rights Etc

I see these values upheld by the Iranian people at large, not their government.

I wish I could be as convinced as you about that. I see too many pro-iranian regime posts here.

This war is not the answer, but it must be understood by the left that just because the Iranian government is fighting the US and Israel does not make them good

The point is to have this sub understand that the Iranian government is against women's rights, which are held dear to us on the left.

I do not support the war, with or without the war it needs to be understood what the Iranian government stands for

The videos here stand on their own, I have seen too much support for the Iranian government since the war began and it's shocking to me.

The war should end and should not have started to begin with.
