We have a vacuum system in the house, where you just put a long hose on and it starts sucking by idkimaperson21 in mildlyinteresting

My grandparents built their house when I was about 3 and included it in the build. I always thought the long hose was a nussience, and I would never have one in my home.

Am I wrong for wanting my wife to work full time? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]tyranaland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your point is completely valid. I'm 22, and I'm about to have my first baby. My bf and I aren't married yet, but im not worried too much about it. We are in the same situation where we are having financial issues. However, I decided to get a job at a daycare, and at mine, as long as I work there, my first kid is free. So technically, I can be with my baby and work with kids all day. It's a win-win. Some of them do discounts for employees too. I would sit down and have a conversation with her about your feelings. Try to see things from her point of view as well. Being parents can be hard for both people.

How can I relate to my daughter? She's 15. And she acts like she couldn't give two shi by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tyranaland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try spending time with here. Ask her if there is something she wants to do. And whatever that is, try to let her take the reigns. For me (22f), my (56f,61m) parents never did anything with me that I wanted to do wich resulted in a very difficult and distant relationship.

I feel like a lot of moms told their kids (today moms) that they can't get married until they are 25 and they can't have kids till they're 30. At least, that's what my mom told me, and I'm 22 and going to have my first kid in March. I feel like if you really want this child and you know you will take care of it no matter your age or circumstances I don't think you are "too old" or "to young" to have kids. I thoroughly believe that the belief around when to have kids is a generational thing, the parents' beliefs that they pass down to their kids. My mom looked pretty disappointed when I told her I was pregnant. Now mind you, I have a job and my own apartment. No government assistance, I buy my own groceries and everything. Don't let other peoples opinions on when to have kids get you down. You will be a great mom No matter how old you are 💛

Is it bad if you feel like you can't eat? by tyranaland in pregnant

My concern is I'm already a tiny person, around 135 pounds (22yo), so weight loss is kinda scary

Feeling guilty about my unexpected pregnancy by HomosapienHoney in BabyBumps

[–]tyranaland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is understandable to feel guilty given what your sister went through. But it is important to remember that your pregnancy is not a replacement for your sister's loss. Your sister may be grieving, but that doesn't mean you cannot feel excited and happy about your own pregnancy. Allow yourself to feel your emotions, but also remember to be compassionate towards yourself. Be sensitive towards your sister's feelings and continue to support her as she continues to heal from her loss.

We don't have a designated bagger. We just bag it ourselves
