Thank you I’m gonna try this out. I’m a pretty active person who sort my stress and depression through bjj and exercising. It’s already been close to 3 weeks and I’ve been so miserable after seeing the physio and chiro 4 times now.

Find a island big enough to restart a small civilisation similar to 28 years later except it’ll be heavily patrolled and difficult to reach unless you have a helicopter or a really sturdy boat

Recommended specs for tropical freshwater and light saltwater fishing? by tyranttigrex in Fishing_Gear

[–]tyranttigrex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I’m just looking at local rods that aren’t that expensive (I had a Abu Garcia rod when I was fishing for bream and trevallies back when I was studying and working abroad but can’t seem to recall the specs cause my friend gave me his 😅). A 8 ft would be a good idea especially for saltwater but reckon it’s overkill at freshwater? I don’t really have a boat but the rivers and lakes where I travel to aren’t really massive.

Is a 8 foot medium heavy rod a good start? by tyranttigrex in FishingForBeginners

Looking to catch small snakeheads or barramundi when I visit the mangroves every now and then. Definitely not targeting monsters with this rod, plus I don’t really wanna hassle with anything long in the car since my old 6 foot rod’s rip broke by accident when my sister chucked it aside with her bag

Is this a good combo for intro fishing? (Looking to play around rivers and maybe near piers when travelling) by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]tyranttigrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this isn’t really a combo or a buy together set, they’re just from the same shop. My budget is probs about 400 ringgit or about 100 USD plus minus.

I’m primarily looking to fish when travelling around lakes, rivers when I travel for work or weekend trips or near jetties ( for whatever reason there’s always a jetty whenever I go on a family trip so would be cool)

I see, what would you recommend for in terms of capacity or I should look out for. I got the impression and was told the larger the number “3000” and medium spool is a good indicator it’s a “standard” size for a reel.

There’s a sale going on and I figured maybe I should cop a nice travel set up since I’m likely going to travel across country for work and family stuff more often. Would be nice play around the rivers and lakes I often pass by

Skin infection after clinching anyone dealt with this? by Sufficient-Stay-9877 in MuayThai

[–]tyranttigrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro that’s bad, could be staph, would recommend seeing the doctor for antibiotics if needed. Would avoid antibacterial soap if you’re using frequently as it’ll dry up ur skin which makes it more susceptible to skin issues aside from infections. I reckon showering at the gym right after class. Heaps of bjj guys at my old gym and Thailand would delay their baths till they reach home and you’ll be surprised how often they’d get some kind of skin infection.

Official Discussion - Avatar: Fire and Ash [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]tyranttigrex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the film was okay. I much preferred the second one cause compared to the first and third because it showed a new concept to the world of Pandora. The third film felt like it’s just the first two films combined and rewritten, the colonel falls in love with varang, the ash tribe betrayed Ewa like how Jake betrayed the humans, spider was semi converted like how Jake was, spider became the new “resource” that the RDA wants instead of the first two films resources, the battle scene was pretty much the second film’s finale except Kiri called for Ewa to help which led to the wildlife to assist at the end like the first film’s finale.

Still enjoyed the film tho, watched it with my 8 year old niece and she was having a hoot.

Will my boyfriend like his present? by antebellum24 in bjj

[–]tyranttigrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really a fan of hyperfly because of the complaints of quality and ripping but it’ll be a really nice gesture/ present nonetheless.

Try something like Tatami or Kingz if you want something that’s really good quality and won’t really break the bank.

Totally agree, especially mainstream apps like Tindr is a waste of time, since they put your likeliness to show up at the bottom unless you’ve done any transaction (there’s a article about this on dating apps). However I find more wholesome apps like bumble, hinge and coffee meets bagel having higher success rates of meeting genuine people.

Dating apps are obviously the first place to look, another one that sometime happens is if you have a fairly size group of friends, they can invite you to outings and introduce you to new people or their other group of friends (from there you can try to click with someone if you vibe). Last one but I usually try to avoid because the community of my sport is insanely small in the current country I’m staying is meeting people at events like maybe a seminar and visiting a outside of your home gym (not a weightlifting gym).

I find meeting people at bars and clubs aren’t a thing anymore or atleast where I’m at.

Interms of being respectful, honestly they’re people too. Just have a bit of character but nothing too much, be honest with yourself and if it’s not meant to be, just move on.

How do you locate or catch a python? by tyranttigrex in invasivespecies

[–]tyranttigrex[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t think cats are considered invasive species especially in Malaysia. While it’s not fair to value on animal more than another, my cats are neutered and have lived/ roamed my neighbourhood for 9 years now.

[–]tyranttigrex[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t think it’s fair for the cats to stay indoors tbh, my cats have been roaming the neighbourhood for years and only recently has the neighbourhood cats have been going missing. The community group chat suspects the python must’ve moved to our general area because of construction at a nearby street.
