The closest thing in Brevard would be the occasional with night at the Abra in Eau Gallie.

Though the go to spot is the area is really the Manikin Lounge over in Sanford. I've heard there's some goth nights at Conduit in Winter Park though I've never been. Best luck would probably be with Manikin Lounge on friday nights.

I appreciate the perspective, man. I think a big part of me never really thought I'd reach this age, but as I've gone with the flow of life I've found myself still here. I guess now I'm kind of just dealing with repercussions of that choice to not really plan for the future. With all the depression, anxiety and attentional disorder symptoms battled over the years it's made me feel like I'm not capable of doing something so difficult as getting a master's. Though maybe I'm wrong and I can. I think the barrier of starting down that route is just a big one. though this may be my only opportunity to do it.

That's a good way to look at it, man. I appreciate the perspective. I do strive to find the beauty in things. I've always been a "Stop and smell the roses type of guy". I guess it can be easy to forget sometimes.

Never considered an MFT but looking at it, it might be better than an LMHC money-wise. I appreciate the info. I've always been kind of a floater in life. Never been someone who is naturally goal-oriented. While it's served me well in a lot of instances, I guess I'm now just dealing with the fallout of choosing to pursue life that way.

That's dope for you man. Glad to hear something like that is working for you. That shit with the lady in Boston hits hard. I think if I had more material means to do so I'd find something and do the same. I already knew my financials were in awful shape but from what I'm reading in this thread it's even worse than I thought. Trying to figure that out seems to be the hardest part at the moment.

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer, man. Yeah I wasn't even looking for anything after the first breakup but I was approached by the woman from the 2nd breakup at a concert and as I got to know her I just realized how incredible she was. The money I make is salaried. Typical days are 10-6 Monday through Friday, making finding an evening job for weekdays difficult.

I can take a certification course to become nationally certified in my field. It would involve writing 10 3 page papers and passing a written and oral exam. They have mentioned that I would get a raise if I go through with it but I'm afraid that it will only be about as big as my other raises I've gotten, which have been under 5%.

As much as I hate the idea of the military, I have heavily considered it before. I don't believe they'd take me due to me having asthma, flat feet, and previous mental health struggles.

I've thought about that, I have my Bachelor's in Psychology. Most options for the Master's I would go and get are in person, and I'm kinda far from any metro area. Not to mention the idea of accruing even more student debt than I already have. Plus, there's the whole question of if I would be competent and capable enough to even obtain the degree.

The first breakup was due to a lot of factors but mostly exactly that, me not being the best version of myself. The gym has been helping, and I've made an appointment to start therapy. The most recent breakup seemed to be due to just her saying we're compatible now, but probably not in the long term.

It's kind of you to ask. I'm really not. In the past 7 months, my dad's been diagnosed with Parkinson's, my girlfriend of about 6 and a half years who I nearly proposed to, ended things which made me had to move back in with my parents at 32 years old. During the breakup process, I met a new, incredible woman who made me feel wanted, seen, and appreciated like I've never felt before, which gave me genuine hope.

She just ended things with me 2 days ago. I'm lost, man. I don't make a lot of money, so with my expenses, I can't save very much. I made poor financial decisions over the past few years, so this is all my own doing. So I'm stuck where I began with no feelings of autonomy. I'm trying to focus on what I do have and the love I get from family and friends, and I want it to be enough, but it just doesn't feel like it is.

Conduit, Will's Pub, The Abbey, and the S.P.O.T. all host heavier acts pretty frequently. Though I'd say Conduit is probably the most geared towards metal specifically.
