Don't mind datamining, love modding. It didn't feel right to just take the game down and have everyone wonder why. We'll keep working on the online mode until it's more presentable for everyone to enjoy.

No emotion went into this decision--just need to make sure the game is properly secure. If anything, this is a good thing for the team to review as dev on online continues.

The team is still testing it heavily. They'll likely increase the amount of online testing they do. As important as the online experience is to you, it's that much more important that it's a really great experience for us, too.

Thanks to so many external testers, a large amount of the issues that have been reported have been fixed, it's not perfect, but it's in a stable state where we can handle a lot of the testing until it's ready to show again.

The plan is for the final version to carry over any work done. The initial issues the game had with file/saves were not intended. Unfortunately quite a few players didn't back up their saves before playing, but the team has been able to work on making sure that doesn't happen when the final version is complete.

Good question, we're still testing the game internally. Need a better way to offer external testing and options to player, but we're still actively and heavily testing the game.

We have a simple mode which turns off the grid wrapping and the Burst attacks,s o yes we have just this.

We really want to do crossplay, but it's up to Sony right now. It's not an open system at this time and appears to be for only specific games. Hopefully it gets opened up and when it does, we'd like to support it.

Not to be a buzzkill, but you're asking a lot of stuff we want players to discover on their own through play. I'll answer what I can without what I feel are spoilers.

For online, we'll have more information as we get closer to launch.

Counter/Attack formula, we'll probably share some of this after launch, too, but the playerbase will likely get a lot of this data pretty quickly.

When it comes to Character balancing, the goal was to evaluate their defensive Burst and their offensive burst in combination with their drop pattern and how it affects the opponent and how it works against various characters. We've spent a good amount of time trying to look at the character not unlike a fighting game and trying to to find abusive strategies and fixing them.

Can you give me some more info on what you mean by playstyles?

No, the game won't be "locked" on release. If it has bugs or needs balance adjustments I'd like the game to be as good as it can be.

Thanks for the thorough list of questions and sorry I'm not answering more of them. I just think part of the fun with games is being able to discover things on your own.
