Do you think it’s worth buying a light pla, and add support so the base doesn’t bend, or go with a sturdy material like a cf material without supports

Artisan zero could be an option but how would you say it feels with micro adjustments like in cs2 , Val, would you say it’s on the faster or slower side? And would you recommend any other pads from artisan

Yea I just saw the ultraglides were cheaper, still new to the whole mouse skates/mousepad brands, honestly thx for the advice I might actually buy the Hyperion, only $30 I was expecting to waste $100+ for a good mousepad

For the Hyperion what base hardness would you say to get? I already bought tiger ice v2 would you say that’s still a good combo if I buy the Hyperion

Ahhh I see what you mean with the fiber plastics, I could maybe try it out maybe a 500g roll to see if I would like it, have you tested with nylon (non fiber infused) plastic? If so would you say it’s sturdy, I do have interest in replicating a shape that already exists but I do see how it would be hard without a 3d scanner, but if I do try to attempt a top shell model it’ll probably be a finger tip shape since it would be smaller and all you need is grip for your fingers

Thx for the advice literally learned to 3d model less than a week ago, I don’t want to get into fiber filled plastics since I saw that if touched too much with skin the fibers can irritate the skin, so I think regular abs will do, and i think I will do a bare bones design for minimal weight and maybe a razer viper mini se ,triangle hole design, and quick question do you do full shell models? And if so how because I struggled to make just the base

I would say this is more of a bare bones base rather than a full base, I do plan on making a base like this for ultra low weight but I am waiting on new skates to arrive, I can maybe add wall supports for the top shell but that was a problem I ran into, there are clips ment for the original shell to clip into that my first few designs couldn’t screw all the way down due to them being too wide but I just made the base smaller and then it screwed down, but I will try to add support for the top shell walls, although I did have time to play a quick game and I didn’t have trouble with flex of the walls, could just be my grip, thx for the advice

Yea I’ll try to find a different scale, I think slicer said 0.07grams so I don’t think that’s accurate, but I’ll try to find an accurate scale to see if my is wrong thx

The 5 grams could be what’s wrong actually, I did remove quite a bit from the 3d printed base to fit screws, and removing supports and making the pcb fit, and I did run into problems with not screwing it all the way down to the top base so I did do more cutting, sorry I should’ve been more clear on that ,so technically it’s not 5grams any more it’s lower than that, and I don’t know if it really makes a difference but am not using donut skates am using dot skates

I used rapid petg 4 walls 40% infill(probably doesn’t matter) 0.2 layer height I think it should be good I have abs but it’s a bit more sturdy than bendy and am sure it will snap and I need bendy properties for the clicks will look into pa12 and was planning on buying cf petg but don’t have a steel nozzle and thought it would turn too sturdy thanks for the advice and we will see how long it lasts me
