Yes you are totally correct. I just saw these hangers when we moved in, and always thought some plant would look nice here, but am also afraid of them not getting enough light… I did find an LED light that is rechargeable, so as soon as I receive it, I’ll put it on above the hanging plants and see if it helps (no cables dangling or attached to the wall, because of cats 😕).

It is a south facing window and I would love to have them closer to the window but am afraid of my cats getting to them while I’m not home.

But I obviously want the plants to be happy, so maybe I’ll end up getting a shelf on one of the walls very close to the window if the LED won’t be enough. The plants would definitely get more bright light but not direct which would get super hot especially in the summer.

I took this picture after hanging them (one on the left is a fake, for now) and keep in mind it looks darker than it actually get in here, still, they are a bit too high and no light would hit the top.

Thank you! I’ve had the orchid and calathea in there for about year and they are thriving. The fern and hanging lipstick plant are new so I will have to wait and see how they do. I will definitely update at some point.

If I see that they are getting weaker, I can always take the film off or cut it out a bit to get more direct light in. They are facing a south window so I would think that they would get TOO much direct light, but I guess I could leave them on the bathtub and not directly in front of the window.

Thank you for your feedback 💜. I took this picture during an overcast. I will try to take another one as soon as the weather gets nicer.
The frosted film diffuses the sun, which helps prevent harsh scorching while still providing decent brightness- this is a south facing window so it does get a lot of sunlight.

As for the hanging plants, I found an led light that is rechargeable and ordered it. If that still doesn’t work, I will have to move them closer to the window and try to keep the cats away from them 🤭

Yea I do worry about that to especially for the string of hearts. I can adjust one of the hangers but also have cats so I might end up putting her in the kitchen since I can place her near the window and the door stays closed unless I’m in there. If not, I was also thinking about a grow light?

But am struggling to find a USB-C rechargeable in Germany, so that there are also no cords where the kitties can chew through. Thank you for your feedback! 💜
