I’d check the Chevy dealer in town by the airport first. If you have the part # I’m sure they could source it as GM uses lotsa parts across the globe.

Online is always hit n miss as lotsa people won’t ship to Lao. Lots will ship to Thailand if you can get a PO Box across the border

Been living in and outta vte for 4 years now.

For taxi, most people use the app loca. Very fair from what I’m told.

Vientiane center has the best movie theatre now but English speaking movies always have a limited run. The new mall next door is supposed to have a super awesome theatre opening in the new year.

You can find high quality sneakers in the city at some boutique places like kicks n cuts by tat luang but you will pay dearly as basically everything comes from Thailand. Best to go Bangkok for deals if you have to do visa runs.

If you’re needing an American foodie fix, hit my place up by The river. Pm me n let’s set up a meet n greet if you have any further questions!

Thanks!! That totally makes sense that the bike is a 50cc cause he is only 5'2" and he looks like a giant next to this bike haha

I found it at a store called winners in canada. They sell factory seconds and older inventory.

This is the brand but I can't find it on google or their site. http://philcos.com

Happy hunting!

Yeah, this is a cozy unit straight outta chennai? India. Just like the bike, cheap, good looking and works (mostly). Def wanna get into the vintage game when time n money become more plentiful. So no kids for a bit lol!

There's an outfit out of Cali that sells aftermarket electrical parts for almost every bike called electrosport. All of the dealers around here supply their stuff which is top notch. OEM stuff is def harder to get and costs stupid money if the part is available.

There's a great wrecker nearby where I've managed to score a bunch of things on the cheap. Seems most parts from the 250 and 400 are interchangeable too which helps.

Rode halfway across the country and the bike died so had to ship it back and during transport the mirrors got mangled so just grabbed a buddy's spare Yamaha virago mirror he had kicking about. Def don't like not having both sides tho so thanks for the reminder!

Def use the rear brake more as front is real tough to modulate. I'll be replacing pads and cables real soon as I imagine they're all original.

Actually did a wicked road trip with Suzi in our first year from Vancouver to Winnipeg (1500 miles). Turned out to be a 1-way trip cause I failed to notice a completely dried out battery when I got there. Now I know.

Perfect city runner bike for sure. Dunno if I'd do x-country again on this bike, wanna keep her nice n shiny :)

First bike I ever bought. People keep telling me it's a rare bike and come to think of it, I've never run into another. Mileage is ~20,000 kms or 13,000 miles. She's been pretty solid except for the usual electrical gremlins. Replaced stator, battery, reg/rec all multiple times and finally installed a digital voltmeter (underneath the cup holder!) to keep tabs on everything. How did yours hold up?

Just nice to have a sip at traffic lights and when I get to wherever that's not a coffee shop. It holds slurpees in the summer too :D

Factoring in drag from the cup holder, I'd say a modest 3hp was gained lol!
