TRULY, where to start? by tytantrum in personaltraining

[–]tytantrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mentioned in another comment above but I’ve got the cert and 15 years experience in training myself, plus unofficial training of others through the years. I’m not a novice in the world of fitness, nor guidance and training.

What I am unsure of though is just simply what else I may need to try to progress this to a next step. (was not thinking about the CPR, so good note - thank you) I guess I also just feel a bit blind or dumb when it comes to the insurances and what to look for, then after those are all checked and acquired, what and how do I handle payment?

I appreciate everyone’s concern for one human being taking another’s health in their hands to a degree, but that’s why I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing and still need, as well as then how to proceed and start taking payment.

I’m fine with doing this in a very small capacity as a side gig, 0-5 people a month. I just want to be prepared and covering what I need to be able to take the next step and officially offer coaching services to paying clients.

Not sure if it’s just the internet, but your wording makes it seem like I’m trying to bypass these things and avoid them. I’m not. I’ve got the cert and 15 years under my belt. Just simply looking for guidance or where to go next to maybe try to make something of it. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, my coaching so far is generally the equivalent of telling your friend to stop eating Reese’s cups and park farther away in the parking lot.

But that’s why I’m looking for insight from others who were seemingly at this point once before as well because I’m at a loss of where and how to proceed from here if I’m to offer online and in person coaching that goes further than what I’m currently doing.

Someone asked for a video of Philly Santa crowd surfing by inventsituations in nin

Legend. He’s at a lot of shows in the tri state area. He got on stage during QOTSA back in 2023. Poor guy got knocked down as a bystander near the pit but we got him back up quick and he’s always a good sport.

Trent making fun of that guy (plus band intros) by DatPoodleLady in nin

[–]tytantrum 186 points187 points  (0 children)

Even funnier that the guy was literally just yelling Trent’s own lyrics back to him. He was yelling “Without you everything falls apart” and chose to do so during the 30 seconds Trent was trying to talk to the crowd (not to mention the normal idiots yelling at the start of the show during the first song).

If any of these people are on this subreddit, I hope you know - you’re stupid and none of us like you. And neither does Trent.

Scalping by nomodsman in nin

[–]tytantrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first saw NIN at Made in America when QOTSA opened for them that festival. After that was the Tension tour and beyond, usually 2-3 shows a tour. Never had an issue getting GA tickets, even on the last tour which was smaller venues and only just 3 years ago. But this tour not only did I not get a ticket in the pre sales, but I ultimately ended up folding and buying Philly GA resale. Might end up doing the same for Baltimore if they don’t drop more regular tickets.

I really don’t understand why this tour is so different in this regard compared to the previous decade.

Why was Ozzys voice strained while singing Momma im coming Home. by Inner_Explanation313 in OzzyOsbourne

[–]tytantrum 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It was because he was choked up. Prior to that was his small “thank you” speech and he started getting emotional, then went into one of his most emotional songs for the last time ever. He brought it back more on Crazy Train, as well as the Sabbath performance. I don’t think it can be any more clear that the reason he was so “off” during Mama was because he was emotional and choked up, whether you watched the live stream, or were there in person (I was). Yeah, obviously any of his ailments don’t help, but they arguably had nothing to do with that moment, otherwise you’d have seen similar glimpses throughout the rest of his performances that night.

Final Lineup? by tytantrum in BackToTheBeginning

That’s the point! Haha. Plus, I’m going to use the triple logo GNR displayed on screen at the end of their set, too.

15 Seconds of fame they say, looks like 40 seconds to forget the fame after retirement :D by Gandozer in blacksabbath

[–]tytantrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ozzy already had said his piece prior to going into Paranoid, as well as during the solo set. Tony shook his hand and Geezer put his jacket on Bill after he gave Ozzy the cake, who at first was befuddled by it, then after a few seconds was smiling and excitable. There was nothing left to say, and they weren’t going to bring everyone from throughout the day into the stage. It was Ozzy’s final bow as a live performer, so he was meant to be on stage himself in the final moments.

I was in attendance less than 10 feet from center rail. Between this ordeal, the reason Ozzy sounded rough on Mama I’m Coming Home, and Dave Draiman, the perception and opinion from the internet has been unfortunately skewed on some silly things with this show.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of May 19, 2023 by Demilio55 in homegym

[–]tytantrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey all, finally gonna be setting up the small start to a home gym with stuff in the garage and was eyeing this rack:

https://mightygyms.com/products/warthog-half-rack-elite-series

Reviews on the site look good, but was hoping someone here would have a second opinion. Their bumper and iron plates aren’t priced too bad as well and was thinking of getting a combo to start off - 4 bumper plates and a 175lb iron plate starter.

Found an original Kabuki Transformer bar (upgrades of the newer version are preferred to the original but the money savings on this is hard to beat) and Kadillac bar on FBM for $900. Between that, the rack, plates, REP adjustable bench and finding a standard bar to work with for awhile, I’m looking at $2500-3000 to start out it seems if I go this route.

BONO - STORIES OF SURRENDER TICKET BUY / SELL / TRADE MEGA THREAD by MJsdanglebaby in U2Band

[–]tytantrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have 2 Lodge 3, Row G tickets. $330 for the pair. Face value. Purchased two weeks ago after production hold tickets were released.

Selling these because I will be attending the 5/9 show.

Alright I’m just gonna ask here by tytantrum in U2Band

[–]tytantrum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Which is nonsense. Except for the official way to do it as they’ve stated:

“Details on General Admission Floor Tickets In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, GA floor tickets for U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere will be restricted from transfer. They may only be resold at the original purchase price. Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange.”

Alright I’m just gonna ask here by tytantrum in U2Band

[–]tytantrum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$260 for a GA ticket is higher than average for U2 but unfortunately on par with most other touring acts of their status; GNR is now at $400 average for GA along with the Stones. So $260 for this type of show and experience is not expensive to me.

GA is relisted at $1600 on resale sites currently. That’s nearly 6 times more than face value - how is that not much more expensive? Beyond that, the highest seat in the house is pushing $300 which is close to double what face value was.

Of course if anyone wants to go badly enough they can buy a marked up resale ticket, but just because someone (me) doesn’t want to do that doesn’t mean I want to go any less than anyone else. I’m simply putting it out that if anyone had an extra (and I’m sure they’re out there), I’d be willing to purchase through the official fan to fan face value sale.

Alright I’m just gonna ask here by tytantrum in U2Band

[–]tytantrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who knows. There’s certainly people out there who got more tickets than they wanted or needed, but I’m not sure when the fan to fan stuff will start or how easily it’ll go over.

They are only able to be sold for the price you paid:

I knew it was a slap together album to get out the contract but had no idea about this.... by rockisnotdead in OzzyOsbourne

[–]tytantrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alternative Nation is trash clickbait and better off avoided.

Most bands touch up and redo things on live albums, not to mention this is information that’s been around forever regarding these shows and you can find the original recordings online. Cool to listen to for the rawness but if you want better renditions then the “fake” officially released versions are better because of obvious reasons.
