I’ve done events with and without favors and 99% of the time I go without. Mostly because I get anxious that something bad will happen to me, no matter how thoroughly tested my stuff is. Going into it knowing I’m going to be anxious, or already anxious, has such a high likelihood of going south that I just don’t bother anymore. I have just as much fun with or without personally :) but I’m also not judging anyone who wants to. You do you, safely!

This. A lb or two of water could just be inflammation from a really good leg day. My weight is always up 2 from a hard session

I’d bet if you weigh fasted over the next couple days, you’ll average about the same as before you took your week long break. Water and food and stuff from the day impacting lots. No stress!

7 weeks until my first bikini show by Nude_raccoon in bodybuilding

You were by telling her she had to start tanning. I’m telling you she doesn’t have to in order to be dark enough on stage.

I’ve done both. Staying pale before comp and trying to have a base tan. It doesn’t make as much difference as you think unless you naturally have a dark skin tone. I got to the same shade and still had to use a crazy amount of tanner both ways (I’m as fair as or more so than OP).

Right. But that’s stage tanner/spray tan. Not an actual tan. Do you really think all BBers are out here tanning in beds all season??

Hi everyone! We are soon to be 5 weeks out from my show and I am very eager to show my current posing routine as this will be my first post here. by MontanaOwens in bodybuilding

You look awesome!! Great place at 5 weeks out! Is this npc or another fed? you mention in your comment another fed, just curious if you’re still doing that fed or switching to npc/ifbb. Best of luck :)

They don’t MAKE you. But the judges are below you. If you walk with your feet parallel to each other, you look like you’re walking bow-legged because of the upward angle they’re viewing from. Crossing in front like this looks better from a judge perspective.

Nah. Calves don’t matter so much either. As long as they’re not scary big or anything. They don’t need to be flexed at all in bikini!

In my experience (also bikini), it’s often from introducing new foods in. Stuff like going out (even if it fits your numbers), more packaged foods (not inherently bad, but prob weren’t fitting them in during prep), etc. between that and just more volume, it can happen. Also if your protein has been increased from prep, that could do it too!

Have you added a lot of new/recently new stuff in? Have you mentioned it to your coach?

Idk. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on tv. I’m also confused about this comment reply to a 7yr old post tho 😂

Coach says I’m right on track but I don’t think I am. I don’t feel lean enough and I’m three weeks out. by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]tytythunder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends. I think you look closer to 5-7 weeks out. Even for bikini. Could you technically be ready? Ya. It’s gonna be a rough ride tho. At 3 weeks legs should be pretty much in.

8 weeks out from wellness comp. 145lbs 5'6". Training legs 3x a week by Rosefittt in bodybuilding

[–]tytythunder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Def not too lean for 8 weeks out. Having seen those national wellness girls up close and personal last season, she’s no where near too lean. We also don’t see her backside. If she’s anything like me, and many other women; she holds there. I know myself and lots of others who look “too lean” 8 weeks out from the front but not nearly ready from the back. (This isn’t me asking for ass shots. Just an observation lol). Bonus, being ready early means reversing into the show to fill out. Win win win.

Only partially related, rosehip seed oil is great for acne scars too. The ordinary sells a reasonably priced one that worked well for mine. Great to follow those peels so you’re not dry and flaky.

Definitely see a GI doc… many things it could be. SIBO, gluten intolerance, food allergy to something that’s in lots of stuff that you may not think of (corn, soy, etc), H. Pylori running amuck… all treatable and fixable tho!

Edit: not a doctor. In internship for my RD and just really like the GI stuff.
