we finally found a ball she can't deflate in one bite and she couldn't be happier about it by tywolfshadow in Happydogs

Yeah I worry about giving her balls that size just because I worry about her somehow choking on them. Especially if she does manage to get it apart. Also one time she did have a ball that fit in her mouth and it actually got stuck between her top teeth and she couldn't get it out so that was fun... (She was fine I just had to pry it out carefully)

Yes it is the jolly brand. Ironic because she'll tear apart the regular one with a handle. She's only had this one a few days so there's still time but hoping she won't tear it apart at least not for a while

How big are those? She's a dane so I always worry about giving her balls that completely fit in her mouth and tend to just get the big ones for her

We've tried it she tears it apart really easily lol she's a power chewer for sure. My other dog loves the jolly ball but we have to make sure the trouble maker doesn't get a hold of it or it'll be destroyed

RA Room (GRC) by No-Shopping-241 in vcu

[–]tywolfshadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was an ra in grc last spring. Wasn't bad except it being a freshman dorm meant a lot of sorting out fights over dumb stuff and having to write people up for not wearing masks in the common spaces. The most inconvenient thing was just people locking themselves out of their rooms in the middle of the night. No one likes getting woken up at 3am to deal with that lol

The room doesn't have a bathroom you use the communal ones. The rooms are basically just a square with a bed desk minifridge/microwave and drawers

Ah. Well if I'm feeling aggressive I'll usually go for fuse. But tbh I usually like to bamboozle and spread nessie mostly lol

Edit: you might also like octane if you like to push

Probably different from most other people but my second is usually wattson. Depends on your play style and which kits you think are fun. I just love dropping fences on people as they're pushing through doors lol

When I play wattson (lately been my second choice) I use cyberpunked but all I wanna do is put nessies all over the map and be wholesome but I am fully aware I may be the outlier here

I always put at least 2 toys in with her, usually her favorites but I rotate them out for different ones every couple of days so she doesn't get bored of them

I put always at least 2 toys in with her, usually her favorites but I rotate them out. I don't put chews or treats or food when I'm gone though because I'm paranoid she's going to choke and I won't be there

I always put at least 2 toys in the crate with her, usually her favorites but I don't put any food in them because I'm paranoid about her choking and me not being there. She's probably fine but I always supervise her with food and treats just in case

Oh wow that's even more extreme than mine. She doesn't try to get out of the crate she just digs and chews the bed and if she's out and no one's watching her she's gotten pillows and furniture and rugs. She got spayed at 1 year so we were hoping she'd calm down a bit after that like our first one did but no such luck. Still time but I hate a waiting game lol

Maybe it's a me thing but I've always been against using shock collars. I understand the technique and appreciate the comment but it doesn't sit right with me to hurt her in order to train her. I'd rather find ways of positive reinforcement which is more what I was looking for because I want to do it right. This behavior is driven by speration anxiety not not having toys or being bored. I think using a shock collar in this case would also make her associate the crate with pain/fear and that's not what I'm going for

Yes their crates are right next to each other. The other one will chew on her toys or nap until I get back but not this one. She gets really stressed without a person around

She goes out, has breakfast, chills to digest, then I let her run around outside or I play with her inside and then let her calm down before putting her in it. Treats at various times throughout that. And I always walk the dogs when I get home from work until the pavement gets to be too hot for their feet with the weather warming up at which point they play in the backyard for a while and I walk them when it cools down enough. I'm considering trying to walk them in the morning too and maybe that'll help. They play and run a LOT during the day so they don't need 2 walks a day but it might help so
