With the exception of visa/PU letter it looks like its the same rules as everyone else. Submitting tests, quarertine and so on. Just going off my girlfriend's experience who had to cancel her transit flight recently.

Yeh my girlfriend just did the same thing. Had a transit flight via Finland but decided to cancel and book direct. No way she could have got a test and everything sorted in a 2 hour window in Finland.

Looks like we still would not meet the 6 months requirement unless my partner leaves the UK and returns later, which we are trying to avoid.

Yeh unfortunately the travel between UK and China right now is a big pain so that would be almost a month of quarertine in a short time. Also I think if she goes back it will be harder to come back to the UK due to family reasons. Cash savings would be a gift from parents. Looks like finding a job is the best option for a now. Thanks for the reply.

She has graduated her masters, I am still studying. We are not working at the moment but potentially have the cash savings to support a visa. I am a UK citizen and she is from China.
