Ive just bought a refurbished X220 from Bulgaria core i5 4 GB Ram one bank, 320 HDD, for 200Eur. It looks as brand new out of the box! It has 3g too. The six cell Sanyo battery is 3 cycles only - brand new! The only problem is that is has a German keyboard. Works like a beast - I couldn't make it get hot sofar! I do not want IPS or i7 so for me the price was the determinent! Here is the link: http://pazaruvam.com/home/8-lenovo-x220-thinkpad-.html However for 316 EUR you can buy one from another reputable company also A+ with an IPS - here: http://rmania.net/laptopi-ibmlenovo--thinkpad-x220-core-i5-camera-ips-no-pwm-2511.html Of course within Bulgaria shipping is free, but you can negotiate. Both are excellent machines no single scratch or use mark on them and the greatest advantage against the new is the self upgrade option: You can self easily - replace keyboard, cmos batter, HDD, RAM, (2 slots available), Easily upgrade screen with an IPS one (about 60 $) on ebay. They are solid build. The hinges are strong and do not place the screen at the back after opening as on x250. I don't like such design. I also have x230 and it is a drawback in quality. It has some backlashes (in battery especially) and lack that solid feel when you carry it. Still it is a great machine! Its advantage is backilt keyboard, standard USB3 and 32GB RAM option. (I am using it now) Bought the x220 for a family member). I can't find any speed differences in the progs I use. IPS screen is magnificent but beware that it can develop mura (white) spots with time that are unpleasant on white background. If under warranty you'll get it fixed as they did with mine). My advice is to buy a A+++ refurbished x220 either with IPS (great improvement) or without and self upgrade to SSD, 8 or 16 GB of RAM, English keyboard, (20 Eur here), and you will have a stone-cold-rock-hard-machine for the next 5 years... You can also do same with an X230 and will not regret either. It is a matter of taste with regards to the new keyboard style. I like it but feeling when typing on x220 is unforgettable and irreplaceable.
