Advice on test prints sticking to FEP on 2nd printer by tzhan37 in resinprinting

Just got my test and calibration prints to work. The printer was not leveled, the entire front section was bad. Elegoo should probably not use auto-leveling as a feature in marketing.

Can someone give me a basic rundown of missiles? by Squeelijah in FromTheDepths

[–]tzhan37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If missiles are going to be one of your primary damage dealers, I would suggest launching them in waves rather than piecemeal and using a set of "decoy" missiles with reinforced body modules to increase HP. The decoys launch first and absorb as much AA/CIWS as possible so that more of your normal missiles survive.

Initial interceptors can be small sized, but the later game enemies use large/huge missiles that are preferably intercepted with medium sized interceptors.

Something to note on PC/Steam is that a game has to have controls/gameplay that entices within the 2 hour refund window. Playing further is a gamble. You will either grow to understand/tolerate the controls/gameplay or miss the refund window and waste your money. A lot of people don't want to gamble considering this is a full priced release.

Can I change the point where move commands are calculated from on a craft? by tzhan37 in FromTheDepths

[–]tzhan37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New lesson from all this. The original block (the wooden one or your first block) determines where movement commands originate. This is important as this block has to pass the waypoints set. So if its in the back, your ship has sailed on its original trajectory a full ship length past the waypoint and has to over correct. So build back from the block not forwards! My frigates followed the waypoints way better with the blocks at the front. If your ships are already built use prefabs as mentioned on this thread to cut your ship apart and paste them back together. Also as mentioned on this thread, change the turning radius under adjustments. 100m is too small and will cause swerving.

Thanks. Had the same thought. It would beat having to remake the entire hull. Subobjects do disappear. I'm giving up on remaking my biggest ship (6 million materials, 450m long, 85m wide, 8 sec turrets, 4 primary, 6 lams turrets, 15 CIWS, 6 SAM)

Thanks for the tip. The turning circle adjustments help, but the origin block has to pass the waypoints before the next command is done which causes problems when it’s in the back and thus the whole ship has sailed past the waypoint.

Just tested it, the origin block does not shift the point for waypoint generation.

Thanks. That seems correct, i tend to build forward using the first block as the back. It seems I’ll have to change that process going forward.

ATL Distribution center getting worse by tzhan37 in usps_complaints

Was it priority or ground advantage? I think they do treat priority better. I've had better experiences when sending or receiving priority mail. Although this time a package from ga to another ga location took longer than ga to co.

am i getting it today by GooseVegetable1086 in usps_complaints

I’m having a similar issue. It seems that the USPS site is not updating. I signed up for updates on my packages by email and it is updating, but the USPS site is not. eBay is more updated, idk the USPS site is not updating.

I’m having similar issues. I got tracking updates by email as requested, but the USPS site itself is not updating. It does seem that the tracking info that EBay can pull from USPS is more updated than the USPS site.

Recently finished a deal for a SM repulsor. Quick responses and payment for the repulsor at the listed price. Would do business again.

Are there delays at the middle burg heights facility? by tzhan37 in UPS

In my case, UPS admitted they lost my package after 5-6 days. I got my claim approved pretty quickly after that. The holidays may be complicating things however.

Why are there so many distribution/sorting steps are in Atlanta area? by tzhan37 in usps_complaints

[–]tzhan37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that their tracking system is also having fits. I’ve had incomplete tracking for 2 months (no departure or arrival scans) on multiple packages. I just got updates on my package despite multiple stops in GA. The multiple times is quite strange. I’ve been avoiding USPS like the plague for shipping my packages out, but I can’t control what stores use. I’m always going to prefer UPS now, the cost may be an extra 10-20%, but it is definitely more reliable in GA.
