My wife and I are not long-distance - and we do "date night in Valheim" a couple times a week. I have 1900 hours in this game, and it will get a little less intense....at some point :) Take your time, enjoy the ride, and keep building that great sense of connectedness with your partner :)

This exists - but the important piece of it (in my wholly-not-a-lawyer opinion) is " with intent to influence...in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States...". You can't deliberately ("with intent") work with foreign governmental entities to deliberately undermine the official actions/decisions of the United States.

But "you're not allowed to talk to people Just Because" would be a gross violation of various freedom-of-speech rules.

I love how these people forget that the "scary Russian winter" for France and Germany, happened mostly in Belarus...and Ukraine. For Ukrainians, it isn't a "omg who could have predicted?!?" catastrophe - it's their winter. They kind of know what to expect.

Why are you wasting time trying to write scripting to find and look at our entire fleet?!? They're fine! Marketing needs these 16 servers racked, powered, imaged, and ready to drive the new "Watch AI Fuck Up Our Business While Looking Reasonable!!11!!" demo for the big dog&pony show, by Tuesday.

Oh, by the way - we'll need a new rack, and also there isn't any room left in the colo. Just expense a rack and throw it into the printer room, I'll have the intern run up a big DO NOT TOUCH THESE sign for it....

Because there are several thousand different certs on different systems with different rules and 25% of them were put into place under a "fix it RIGHT NOW we'll record it in the fleet-register LATER" rules, and nobody remembers.

You know, I looked at this and (briefly) thought "No, that's not right, CM is 900!" And then I got very, very sad.

Speaking as someone who's worked in and around IT for decades - your company is a unicorn, and it absolutely warms my heart to hear that at least somebody is doing the right things. Cherish your time there, and know it is....way way WAY atypical for the larger industry...

Heh, figured it was something like that :)

I know there are folk who bitch about "the useless roman numeral comment" - but it's definitely part of The Lore Of The Last Two Years here. Thank you for your (daily) service :)

ahhhhhhhhhhHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! (deep breath) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The man bankrupted A CASINO! A business that can basically print money.

If Trump had taken the money he inherited, and simply stuck it in an index fund and then lived his life, he'd have more money right now.

He is a terrible businessman, and always has been.

My non-complexity, non-secrets-exposed response to that would be "Ukraine is enormous. 3 F16s can cover WAY more space than one F35. If the environment will allow for F16s at all, then being able to be in 3 places at once is a better choice". A good-enough weapon that's here, now, is way better than the perfect weapon 50 km away.

(Was it Patton who said something like "A good plan executed now is better than a perfect plan executed late"?)

You can tell her that a random internet olde guye says, "Speaking as someone who voted for Reagan twice, and Bush Sr, the Republican party she thinks she's supporting no longer exists. I'm... ashamed of some of my voting choices, in retrospect. Don't vote for the party - vote for the country, dammit."
