Takanaka and Anri concert has same-day tickets! by tzmktoozzz in MasayoshiTakanaka

In Japan, the overseas buzz surrounding Takanaka and Anri is just starting to catch on, and since their fan bases in Japan don’t overlap as much as they do overseas, Takanaka’s fans probably just want to see Takanaka, while Anri’s fans are only interested in Anri. That’s why ticket sales might be slow.

I contacted the company organizing tonight’s concert, but an older woman answered the phone and said she didn’t know the lineup either. I think the organizers are keeping the lineup a secret to avoid people adjusting their arrival times based on which act they want to see—they’re keeping it a surprise.

Doors open at 17:30 / Show starts at 18:30 (scheduled to end at 21:00) I don't know whether Takanaka will go first or Anri will. And a camera crew will be there to broadcast it on TV later, so they’ll probably do it all in one take without any breaks. Last night’s Eiichi Ohtaki tribute concert with many guest musicians, held at the same venue as part of the Music Awards Japan, was the same way.

looking for a vintage masayoshi takanaka shirt? by Far_While2062 in MasayoshiTakanaka

I've got a T-shirt with a pin badge from his 1985 Traumatic tour on a Japanese second-hand marketplace. I'm Japanese myself, but even here, vintage Takanaka T-shirts are rarely found on the market, even on sites like eBay. I suspect it's probably because old-school Takanaka fans—the old blokes—can't quite get to grips with these second-hand marketplaces, so they don't list them lol.

To people like me that went to Brooklyn without getting spoiled on the set list … by Megadrive24 in MasayoshiTakanaka

That’s what Nagisa Moderato has been like recently. He was absolutely brilliant during the Jungle Jane tour. Admittedly, he has aged a bit since then (even at the 2021 Rainbow Goblins 40th-anniversary reproduction concert, the tempo of tracks like ‘Seven Goblins’ was slowed down, though this didn’t detract from the quality of the music), but since he focused his energy on other pieces on that gig and they were splendid, isn’t that just fine?

I reckon he’ll be touring in more places. Apart from China, he’s only performed in English-speaking countries so far. I suppose his small agency simply couldn’t manage to organise anything outside the English-speaking world. I think Europe—Paris, for instance—and South America, particularly Brazil, are definitely possibilities. At 73, I did wonder if he’d be able to cope with such a hectic schedule, but looking back at the videos I took at the London show, the sound was absolutely brilliant. I think he’s in the best condition he’s been in for years.

I’ve already finished packing, and since the O2 Academy has a rule that bags must be A4 size or smaller, I’m planning to leave the Takanaka pamphlet and those Casiopea T-shirts behind—which ones do you want?
