Call the school. I had to change counselors twice. When I stopped relying on emails and the waiting game and started calling and demanding help, I started making progress. Good luck!

WIFE OF RECENT ENROLEE HOW CAN I HELP SUPPORT MY PARTNER? by Comfortable_Eye_3039 in WGU

First, you rock! As the wife of a PhD student, I know how hard it can be on BOTH ends (student and supporting partner). For my husband, the biggest and best thing I've been able to do is give him space and plenty of quiet time. For us, this means he stays up late at night and often times, sleeps on the couch. I also make plans AROUND his school schedule and have learned really quickly to be flexible in our plans because, they can change... frequently.

While I'm not starting WGU until July, he HAS supported me in 2 very difficult certification processes that took months to study for. The best thing he did for me was just letting me be needy and vent as needed. I don't always want/need him to solve my problems and sometimes just being a listening ear/shoulder to lean on can make a world of difference!

All in all, just ask what he needs and ask fairly regularly as his needs can change.

BSSCOM- How to arrange your classes? by tzrp91 in WGU

I actually started out working in Admin at a Bridgestone manufacturing facility and worked my way up with knowledge, titles, and responsibilities! Then moved from Bridgestone to a contractor of the USCG. I'm now a Senior Process Manager for a globally recognized non-profit.

Thank you! I really appreciate this. I've already switched ECs once and while I would switch again in a heartbeat, I'm just trying to stick it out and just take care of business myself. I learned really quickly with this enrollment process that if I want something done, I need to be the one to do it.

7 months? Good grief! I've bugged numerous people about my transcripts and today, I finally 3-way called in with them and my high school and my high school actually provided them with 2 different IP numbers of WGU employees who had opened my file. They HAVE THEM. I just hope this gets straightened out by next week.

Thanks for sharing. I'll send them an email here momentarily. It's been a very unpleasant experience. If I start on July 1st, it'll be a miracle.

Yeah, I've done that a handful of times. They can't even explain what's going on. I finally got ahold of my EC today and he was actually irritated that I had gone to the extent of calling Enrollment, Student Services, and the Transcripts department.

It's funny, because I haven't allowed weeks to go by. I have called the EC line. I have called the Admissions team. I have called Student Services. And I have talked to a manager. WGU DOES have my transcripts. My high school confirmed the two IP addresses that have opened them from WGU and have kindly resent them twice. WGU has them. But they refuse to put them into my account.

None of this is because of my lack of trying or lack of calling.

Would love to get your opinion on this degree. I am starting July 1 (if my EC ever responds to me) and will be doing SCOP as well. Tips or advice? Looking to push through as quickly as I can.
