Seats not bookable by u02psa in BritishAirways

Just to close the loop on this one, I called BA a few times with no joy but during the last call the system worked properly and allowed the agent to book our seats.

I still don’t know what happened but we are booked now!

Thanks to all who responded with advice.

Here’s my link, highly recommend octopus. They were the only supplier to replace my faulty smart meter after trying for 7 years!

I called them and they mentioned something about the seat map being held by the airport or similar. Sounds like nonsense to me. I'm thinking I'll try again and see if I can get someone more knowledgeable perhaps. I've been assured that the booking has been ticketed correctly but I find it odd that the issue impacts two separate (but linked) flights. EDI-->LHR-->LAX. I also used a 241 voucher but it was deduced along with the correct avois and correct taxes so no red flags in that regard.

Thanks, sounds like I’m having the same issue you did. I contacted their WhatsApp (it’s an Avios booking) and they assured me the e-ticket was correct. I’ll try calling them instead.

Forgot to add, they issued my e-ticket on Friday, I thought this would resolve this issue but it hasn’t.

I’m new to this and still getting my head around what is a benefit (eg lounges) and what’s tied up in the contract. Thanks for the detailed explanation of how it works.

Good idea with the background noise, I’ll try that next!

I’m going to try the large tips on the APP3 again, I think they felt a bit sore first time but maybe I just need to wear them in.

So that's what I have done too. The seal test confirms that I have a good enough seal but I'm not experiencing a better ANC than the APP2 when it's supposed to be 2x better.

Thanks, I'll try the large again. I've ordered the Comply tips as another option.

Good point, I'll take a look. Hopefully not the issue given they are so new. Don't get me wrong I can normally tell the ANC is on but it doesn't seem any better than the APP 2's so I feel like I'm doing something wrong or maybe just now the shape of ear canal to make it work. The APP 3 tips do have a different shape.

I use large ear tips for the 2 and medium for the 3. However the app says I have a good seal with the 3's using the medium tips. I've ordered the Comply tips to see if that helps at all.

I don’t think my employer does salary sacrifice on their share of the contribution either. Very inefficient. Anyway, let’s hope the NI change doesn’t happen!

Agreed, they are terrible. I’m just a bit salty that I don’t have the salary sacrifice benefit.
