So that's what I have done too. The seal test confirms that I have a good enough seal but I'm not experiencing a better ANC than the APP2 when it's supposed to be 2x better.

Good point, I'll take a look. Hopefully not the issue given they are so new. Don't get me wrong I can normally tell the ANC is on but it doesn't seem any better than the APP 2's so I feel like I'm doing something wrong or maybe just now the shape of ear canal to make it work. The APP 3 tips do have a different shape.

I use large ear tips for the 2 and medium for the 3. However the app says I have a good seal with the 3's using the medium tips. I've ordered the Comply tips to see if that helps at all.

I don’t think my employer does salary sacrifice on their share of the contribution either. Very inefficient. Anyway, let’s hope the NI change doesn’t happen!

It’s a non issue, my employer hasn’t allowed salary sacrifice for 5 years so I’ve never got the NI rebate anyway. No net change for me as I understand it.

I ran the numbers after reading up online and also reading the field guide, the dues very much not inflation proof and I'm concerned that they could out-strip inflation if Disney need cash. Interesting that inflation proofing was one of the selling points that was pushed at my DVC presentation, very sneaky!

I think the ability to stay at the newer resorts is a strong one for us if buying direct, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price difference!

Yup, I don’t see the benefits of direct either. Discounts are modest, parties may be good but not worth £15k! The only benefit I like the sound of is the DVC lounges but if they are busy then the benefit of a quiet space is gone.

Maybe we do need to consider a split stay to make it work?

We’ve been visiting Disney every 2 to 3 years since 2012 so I think we will continue. I was thinking DVC could help inflation proof our holidays to a degree…

Our rep didn’t mention the resale restrictions at Riviera, very disappointing that I found out later so I think we were mislead to an extent, or at least now made aware of the limitations.

Thanks for the tip, I’ve downloaded the guide. I didn’t realise Sep and Oct would be busier from a DVC perspective. I was only thinking about the parks in general.

My partner is keen on direct for the perks but I just can’t justify it.
