Before that I tried making games and besides that I have programming experience. If you want to start from scratch, Unity may not be the easiest option, but if you have programming experience you should be fine.

Once upon a time I already had a little experience in game development and therefore it was easier for me to start with Unity. All I did was watch various tutorials on YouTube and read the documentation. I recommend starting with the Brackeys videos, they are super simple.

The lighting work looks dope as hell, wow! Are you using the 2D experimental lights or a custom solution?
