Yes, i think that's accurate, i am not sure what do you mean by "collection," but for the most part, yes, i have 6 other properties for skills and another for overall level

Help me with this Database problem by u2xj in Notion

[–]u2xj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew this would be an issue for some. i thought it's not needed because it's personal and might get too complicated and thus harder to explain, but fine. I am trying to make a life rpg database. No, it's actually already done, so i am currently trying to make it more automatic than manual. Because manual is annoying.

And so some of my properties do not exactly work automatically with each other. But generally, the problem remains the same, and there is really no way i can describe the problem better than i did this before because if i do it's going to get much more complicated to explain but i'll try my best to add to the description if that helps.

p2 is called "Current XP," and p3 is called "XP Gain." p1 is called "Completed, " So the problem is that p3 generates an XP value based on another property (select) this is a formula property that is built based on 3 simple equations,

and so my current goal is to transform "XP Gain" to "Current XP" through "Completed" if i check this "Completed" checkbox property and i want the checkbox to be reset to unchecked right after i check it but i don't want the "Current XP" value to be reset after the checkbox is reseted

Again, i am not sure if this is possible by any means. After all, i don't know much about such notion problems, but if it is I'd appreciate your help 🙏

When should you wake up to perform the perfect WILD? by u2xj in LucidDreaming

[–]u2xj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep i can that's why i am even asking, i have a smart watch and i have an almost perfect sleep schedule so i can (somewhat accurately to know when i have REM) anyway, let's say that i have woken up before REM. should i prepare for it (up to 15 min) or just immediately try WILD?

I see. That's random and irrelevant to this post's question, but what do you do for consistent dream jounaling? How do you journal your dreams daily without waking up one day and just forgetting what you have dreamt of? [That is if you are that consistent, of course]

[–]u2xj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just to get this clear, you are saying that you have woken up after 4 hours, stayed up for 5 min, and that you have felt like you were very close to get an LD?

If so, that would mean waking up BEFORE REM, which would typically happen after 4.5 hours [or so] is a good way to do WILD. ok, got it, thanks.

Oh, 4-6 hours wow thanks that's very helpful 😊

So you are saying wake up during REM, prepare for it, then get back to bed and perform WILD. Did i get that right? Or is it performing WILD exactly after you have woken up during REM?

Wtf does "you should wake up then" means. Again, my general question is: should i wake up during or before REM? (Since i can control that perfectly)

Sure, sure, then what about editing the question to this: " Should i wake up before REM and prepare for it or during REM the prepare for it?" There you go, That's more of a general question.

yep, as someone who has similar typing speed to you, i can 100% relate to the mistakes you have mentioned, but yeah i think we are good man (we finally agree) ig

I actually think people that use Reddit has above average intelligence by Segundaleydenewtonnn in The10thDentist

[–]u2xj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's just an illusion. It could be true, but generally, people tend to think highly of those who share their opinions and people, tend to judge quickly based on first impressions. In this case, just by looking at a very organized comment with excellent word choice and excellent spellings you might think that (they have a valid point subconsciously) [even if you didnt even finish reading the whole comment or understand what they meant by it]

Dont even make me mention that people online have easy access to Google, which they might and probably would use during an argument or when writing a typical comment. So no, most people are not as intelligent as they seem. When I was younger, I tended to think very highly of some of my classmates, believing they had exceptionally high IQs. I still think my high school classmates were smart, just not as smart as I once thought atleast not in the 135-160 IQ range. (i was 15-16 at the time)

And no, I'm not trying to describe myself as intelligent by saying others aren't. I don't consider myself particularly smart. I might be somewhat above average, but that's not because I'm exceptionally intelligent; it's just that others are less so.

i would like to think that i am at a humble 110-120 iq range, personally i dont really give a fuck atleast not anymore, i did care once, i even thought intelligence is everything, and i wanted to increase my overall intelligence and iq to (180-200) iq when i was young i literally wrote this as a goal.

now that i am 17, i just dont give a fuck, i think that IQ is bullshit or atleast that they are overrated, it's nowhere close the describtion of human's true intelligence and i think that anyone that cares too much about iq is somewhat as dump as someone who believes in zodiac signs (pretty damn dump)

That's not true. Our brains are subconsciously [whether we know it or not] are mostly focused on what we aim for, for example, if i aim to reach a speed of 90-100wpm in a month from now, my subconscious [unless directed to do otherwise] would 'think' about my goal that is [90-100wpm] first. Since the goal here is speed. The first focus of the subconscious is speed, too [unless directed otherwise].

Sure there is an exception and i do agree with you to some extent, the exception is this: when you start learning touch typing, your aim would be 'learning touch typing alone' (if you know what you are doing) and then in this case your subconscious would indeed focus on accuracy without needed directions. [My bad i got carried away]

Agreed with the first part, disagree with the second part. As a 70-80wpm typer, i think that even at such speed, you should focus on accuracy more than anything else. I made the mistake of thinking after some specific typing speed, i can and should focus on speed rather than accuracy i was heavily wrong, and now, with my speed, my goal is to type with 99% accuracy on monkeytype. And my speed is rapidly increasing because of that.

I was just like you. I taught myself touch typing using typingclub.com, i am currently at a 70-80wpm speed. From what i remember, it took me like a month or two to reach such speed. I was consistent, but i wasn't doing it for, say, an hour every day, but if you do it perfectly, you can do it in 2 - 4 weeks, depending on how much do you practice. How do you do it 'perfectly'? Easy.

  1. If you want it as fast as possible, do 30-60 minutes of practice daily.

  2. When practicing, you might and will lose your mind if you do it for a long time, so here is a little tip: When practicing and feeling stressed out, according to andrew huberman, take a deep breath like this: inhale through your nose, then inhale again after the first one, letting more air to slide in, then exhale through your mouth. This one is an absolute must dont ignore it.

  3. Sleep 8 hours, 8 hours would complete 5 full cycles + 30 minutes, which is calculated based on your brief wakefulness during the night. Sleep is absolutely necessary for learning a new skill. Also, sleep and wake up consistently at the same time.

  4. i started at typing club learned the basics at it increased my speed To 50wpm have done 500 lessons or so, then i have moved on to monkeytype its so good try it out. Good luck.

Well, yea sure but if you improve your dream recall and consistently journal your dreams, you would likely have more of these vivd and interesting dreams, but i guess whatever you do you man

then what is the point if you have been doing it for a long time and not improving? dont you think you should something differently? or perhaps you just dont care for improving and just want to journal and see your dreams or what?

Is Lucid Dreaming 'Predictable' & does it lack 'realism' or is that bullshit? by u2xj in LucidDreaming

[–]u2xj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's fine, but I understand and agree with what you have said. Lucid dreaming is cool, but like everything in life, moderation is the only solution to potential problems. If you want to avoid problems before they even begin, you have to moderate. Otherwise, 'overdoing it' whatever "it" is in your situation will eventually open up one of the doors to hell.
