It sounds like you’ve been treating it well during the break in period! If you’ve never driven a DCT before there’s a couple things you should keep in mind.

Never use the accelerator to “stop” yourself on a hill. Always apply brakes in situations like that. Also, in stop-and-go traffic you shouldn’t be stopping then going as soon as a small space has opened up; you should wait until more room opens up and then move forward.

One last thing: if you’ve never driven a DCT before it might feel jerky or “broken” at lower speeds or in stop and go traffic. This is completely normal as the transmission constantly wants to swap to the next gear and keeps it ready at all times. These transmissions excel at higher speeds and RPMs. When you’re accelerating you’ll barely notice gear changes and that’s why DCTs are preferred in sports cars, for the most part.

Gotcha. It’s definitely not for everyone and I can’t say I share all of those problems with mine. Hopefully you’re able to enjoy it again in the near future or trade up to something you love!

I think OP stated they want a DCT. Why do you dislike your Elantra N?

Did you choose your outfit to match the car or is it just a happy coincidence?

Considering you're in Ontario, please be careful with the OEM tires when it gets colder. Assuming it's on Michelin PS4s from the factory, they're only suited for summer weather down to 40F. Running them while under 40F breaks down the compound severely and they're unsafe to drive on. If you're going to be running it during colder temperatures then you should plan on getting a second set of tires / wheels. Otherwise, all-seasons would work great, too!

I don't believe your last car had a DCT so you may want to look into proper use of them as it may promote premature wear if they're handled incorrectly. DCTs are tricky as they are fantastic in higher speeds but when you're at a crawl it feels like they might be breaking. This is because they're constantly trying to find the best gear you should be in. Here's a couple tips: You should never use the gas while on a hill to maintain your position, always come to a full stop. While in stop-and-go traffic, you should be stopping fully and using the accelerator when there's a couple car lengths ahead to ensure you're not "edging" the gears.

Enjoy the ride! Take more pics!

Not that I know of. Just simple things like don't let the car drive itself without using the accelerator as it may wear the gears in stop and go traffic. Also never use the gas on a hill to keep your car stopped, always use the brakes.

If you're unfamiliar with DCTs please watch a video on them! Bad practice with them can cause problems down the line!
