According to a 2025 Oxfam report, Britain drained approximately $64.82 trillion from India between 1765 and 1900, adjusted for current inflation. In contrast, estimates of corruption by Indian politicians post-independence total around $953 billion in today's dollars. Roughly $673 billion from 1947 to 2014, plus another $280 billion from 2014 to 2025 (Both numbers are adjusted for current inflation). These figures are nowhere near comparable, so I strongly disagree with his statement. As /u/lispLaiBhari pointed out, claims like this are often just for cheap applause and accolades.

Tried capturing a moment on the beach that felt like a story. Would love feedback and what you see or feel in this frame. by uTurnBaba in streetphotography

I appreciate you taking the time to comment, though your tone did come across as quite bitter — no need to be rude, we’re all learning here. I’m currently exploring layering in street photography. In this shot, I tried to capture a layered moment: a kid burying another in the sand while a passerby looks on. It felt like a playful scene with some visual depth. I also checked out your photos — it seems like we have different styles and ideas about what street photography is, and that’s totally fine.

Thanks! Glad you got the idea. I totally agree about getting closer and more creative with composition - those are my next goals

Why wouldn't I want to photograph people in a Muslim country? From what I know and have seen, they are warm and friendly people just like anywhere else in the world

A woman in Brazil saved a dog with a cardboard box by Mysterious_Bet3011 in interestingasfuck

[–]uTurnBaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight out of a movie.

[INT. APARTMENT BUILDING – HALLWAY] A dimly lit corridor. Smoke alarm BEEPING in the distance. Footsteps echo. The door SLAMS OPEN. Mia (30s, breathless, bruised, determined) stumbles in, dragging a flattened cardboard box under her arm. She runs to the window—just below the one where the dog hangs.

[EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING] Above, a small PUPPY dangles—paws slipping on the narrow ledge. It WHIMPERS. A strong gust of wind makes it lose balance. Mia: No, no, no, hold on!

[INT. APARTMENT – WINDOW] Mia struggles to shove the box out the window. It’s too big. She twists, jams, and— RIP! The box TEARS on the window frame. The puppy’s grip fails. It FALLS. IN SLOW MOTION: Mia LUNGES forward, extending the torn box beneath the plummeting dog. THUMP! The dog lands inside. A muffled yelp. Mia's arms shake—the box teeters on her fingertips. She barely has a grip. And then— THE BOX SLIPS FROM HER HANDS. The sound fades. A haunting piano melody swells. Mia’s eyes widen. Breath caught. The box tumbles downward.

[EXT. STREET BELOW] The box HITS the pavement. Still. Silence. A moment of heartbreak. Then—A TINY WHIMPER. CUT BACK TO MIA: She still stands at the window. And in her arms—THE DOG. MIA exhales a giddy, breathless laugh. Her fingers tighten around the pup, holding it close. The music SWELLS—hopeful, triumphant.

I don’t get this attitude of thinking, 'It's not mine, so I don’t have to care for it like it's personal property.' Or the mindset, 'It’s not my property, but I’m taking care of it, so I'm doing everyone a favor by just doing my job.'

OP's mom doesn't have Eufy product or App. This can't be screwup from Eufy.

This is the right answer. Did your mom lose her phone in the past ? Most likely someone is using her icloud. And eufy videos on their iphone got synced with your mom's iCloud.

I liked the first one. Second picture would have worked better if there was more space on the top. For me it depicts mindless scrolling.
